Black screen after uploading a game via FTP

Hi, I have a similar problem, so thought I could ask you here how to proceed. The Xbox is softmodded, plays original game discs fine, but it stuck at the XBMC logo, the light is solid orange. I Have FTP connection, I can't find any eeprom backup though. I would like to know how I can restore the dashboard. I appreciate any help!
