[Xbox Original freezing mid-game]

Hey all, 

I just got my own xbox original, and fixed a couple things including FRAG 50% Green 50% Red, and getting rid of the clock capacitors.

The issue I'm running into now, is that the xbox will freeze in both the menu and while in-game.

I opened up the motherboard, and found that the black wire for the gpu cooling fan is cut. Would this be the main issue for the freezing?

EDIT: I disconnected the wire to see if there would be another FRAG, but nothing happened.
