It's a good idea. I know someone who had to do that because the drive he was cloning to used too much power to run off a molex splitter. I never saw that problem before then but he has a 1.6 and I know their psu are different so maybe that had something to do with it.

I don't have time to check right now but I don't remember having that problem. If you have UnleashedX running check that the higher resolutions are enabled under video settings. Also I know znes has different skins for different resolutions. Maybe the same for surreal

No problem. Did it work?

For some reason when I enable highdef in soft mod it doesn't always stick. Try the steps in this thread. They always work for me. http://xbmcxbox.blogspot.com/2013/04/play-original-xbox-games-in-hd-high.html?m=1 You have to do this from stock msdash.
*concerning the PAL region, your original Xbox must have a softmod installed to access HD settings
Instructions for forced High Definition:- Enter "settings" from the Xbox dashboard
- Enter "video"
- Choose "normal" video mode
- Choose "yes" for 480p, 720p and 1080i
- Return to the Xbox dashboard
- Hold the following buttons together left trigger, right trigger, left analog stick (button), right analog stick (button)
- Your original Xbox is now in forced HD mode. The mode will remain even after shutting off the Xbox. To resume your Xbox to standard simply re-do the steps prior.

Sounds reasonable. I didn't realize this would be coming from across the pond. Am I correct in assuming since the picture is being converted to digital it should work fine out of the box for most hdtv sets, or would I have to switch my ntsc console to pal since it will be receiving an analogue pal (presumably) component signal before conversion? Sorry my pal\ntsc knowledge could use some expanding.

Do you have pricing worked out yet? I think a lot of people would find this quite useful.

Well said. Speaking as someone who intends to do his first TSOP in the very near future I found this to be very informative. Something as technical sounding as a TSOP always seemed somewhat intimidating and until recently I never even took the time to look into it. Posts like yours that put these things into Layman's terms really help bring difficulty into perspective.

Honestly it might be easier for you to do a search on coin ops 7 massive or coin ops 8 massive. Otherwise you may have a lot more work ahead of you that might not be worth the effort it will take.

Hi everyone. I'm a pretty big videogame fan in general and absolute love the OG Xbox. I've been softmodding xbox's for a few years as well as some minor things like hdd upgrades and usb mods. I'm ready to go a little more hardcore and it looks like I've found the perfect community to learn from. Thanks for having me.

I've had problems with corrupted files that have done this. Also some files may be missing. I would try to find another copy or turn it into an .iso with qwix then burn with imgburn.
