I used xbmc4gamers for the first time today...impressive!

I really want to use this artwork installer...however, when I go to the downloader, the artwork and theme options come up blank.

Everything else like applications, dashboards, etc show up fine.

I ended up taking a 15(?) year old aladdin chip out of my 1.4 xbox (which I then tsoped) and followed this guide to install in my 1.6b.

Instead of the d0 wire I just cut the lframe trace.

Even with my rookie soldering skills worked perfect!

I did fudge up the BT solder pad on the chip, so for grounding BT, there's a via trace to BT and I bridged that to ground.

Planning to install this chip on 1.6 xbox and I've seen a few guides. There seems to be a few variations regarding the d0 point on the xbox motherboard.

From what I understand, grounding d0 is not needed if cut one of the traces on the lframe? Is that correct?

Gonna attempt this on a 1.4 xbox with bad trace on trace A.

How do I know if I need to scrape the via or not? Kinda want to avoid this if I don't need to do it as I don't have a fibreglass pen

Turns out this is due to my modchip. The modchip bios is only enabled if I hold the power button >1 sec. The IGR on the evox m8+ must be doing an xbox reboot, and that's why xbox dash loads because the modchip bios is bypassed during the reboot.

Anyway I flashed ind-bios and IGR goes to unleashx dashboard as I wanted. So im guessing on this bios the IGR is a soft reset (based on the ind config).

The Xbox computes the password using the HDDKey and information from each different HDD (model/serial number) every time the Xbox boots to unlock it.  Softmodded systems still use the stock MS BIOS thus the HDD must be locked as the password is still computed to do so.

I just revisted my mod chipped xbox that I havent used in probably 10 years.

I want to update the bios using the ones on this installer. I dont have dvd discs though!!! And dont really want to go to the shops and navigate through covid infested zombies!

Is there a way to run it without a disc? I unpacked the iso with qwix, and ftp'd it to the e/apps folder, but when I try to run it it gives me that usual error screen
