The UDMA 6 version is the one that doesn't mention UDMA 4 or 5, correct? Common sense would tell me that, but still.

No, UDMA6 is an experimental setting only available through Team Resurgent's Cerbios Settings application.  Load the BIOS and scroll down to the bottom of the options on the left-hand side of the app.  There you can change the UDMA setting.

The dot bin file not mentioning a higher speed uses the Xbox's stock UDMA2 data transfer rate.

Also, I can't get the C++ framework to install so I can't use the Cerbios tool. Can somebody please post the UDMA 6 version? Sweet, Maybe? lol I would appreciate it.

Most stable? UDMA2 (or UDMA4 if you use SATA + 80 wire cable), I would say. Sure why should it be not safe?

However, If you don't want to use CCI or go above 2TB and you don't care for UDMA4/5/6 modes, stick to your iND. ^^

UDMA 2, 4, 5, 6 is referring to the data speed from the hard drive to the main board

A stock Xbox is UDMA2 (33.3mb/s)

A cheap sata2ide will work with UDMA4 (66mb/s)

A Startech sta2ide will work with UDMA5 (100mb/s)

And a Startech and SSD or a good quality HDD can run the UDMA6 (133mb/s)

 

The cerbios is safe for all versions of Xbox and will allow hard drive sizes of up to 16tb
