Disc to CerBios Compressed ISO with Repackinator

I found that if you rip your disc with DVD2Xbox using the ISO ripper mode, the dump can be used with Repackinator. There are a few steps in the middle but it works great!

Technically, you can create any kind of file you like once it is in a format Repackinator will accept. Just keep in mind that scrubbed CCI is the smallest file we can get that still known to work with title updates, DLC, and Insignia.

CCI should be made only from full disk dump: DVD5 or DVD9. Is the reason why CCI is better, it retains original dvd5 or dvd9 formatting.

A trim + scrubbed CCI from a full DD, and a trim + scrubbed CCI from the method I shared have identical SHA-256 sums.

Once you trim the ISO with Repackinator the video partition is gone, as it it considered a part of the "unnecessary" data. The sector information is maintained for any sector that contains data.

Assuming you follow the tutorial, an XISO or CCI made this way is identical in every way to a redump. Check the hashes for yourself.

Dvd CCI = Redump CCI

Dvd XISO = Redump XISO

Dvd ISO =/= Redump ISO (video partition)
