Matta
I am just curious what one of these is worth. I currently do not own one and just want to know what it is valued at. Thanks in advance. https://imgur.com/PXCsIOa
KaosEngineer
MS gave them away but you had to pay for shipping and handling $6.50 IIRC.
neighbor
wow, never heard about this stuff. Would be fine to recreate the PCB and have it open source.
Matta
Hey I know this a dead thread but I actually did end up with these from an xbox purchase through ebay. I am willing to help make it open source.

jimmy_uk
there will be nothing special inside, the xbox controller cable is standard USB connection just with a propitiatory connector i made a usb adapter out of the short part of a controller lead cut it and joined it with a female USB connector... looks a bit rough with the electrical tape - however its solid inside Works great, I originally made it for soft mods but it also works with most USB things, i plugged a USB hub into it and then a keyboard and mouse and they worked great with Linux
