Bowlsnapper
The CDDB database that was active when XBMC 3.5.3 came out is no longer up. There are others out there. But I need to know how to change the server. With kodi, you can modify the advancedsettings.xml, but I see no such file for the xbox version. Any way to do this?... Or am I gonna be browsing my CD's by "Unknown Artists" and rocking out to "Track 1, Track 2, and Track 3"?
amak79
You can change the default CDDB database by creating the following advancedsettings.xml file in the XBMC UserData folder. <advancedsettings> <cddbaddress>gnudb.gnudb.org</cddbaddress> </advancedsettings> Edited October 30, 2022 by amak79

That worked. Thank you. I wrote it using a code editor app on my android phone and then FTPd it over with a usb-c ethernet adapter. Cool. Only problem now is, it completely locks up when I try to rip the disc. Not even IGR works. Great.
