Shut Down button combo

Hello all

i have a hard modded Xbox with 2 bios banks

1 = IND _Bios

2 = CerBIOs

both have the

trigger + trigger back & black

reset combo to exit to dash

but CerBIOs has the extra

trigger + trigger back + D Pad up

turn off function to shutdown quickly

how can I add this function to my IND_Bios?

it would be useful just to use the 2 combinations to safely shut down my unit

I don’t really want to break my setup

 but I apologise if this question is futile with a simple Dash Loader app I know nothing about

please can you instruct my next options

Honestly, you may want to consider a hardware solution? If you have a DVD remote a XERC is the best option IMO.

There is also a DIY mod to add a power button to your controller but you loose light gun support on any controller port you modify for this. I can't find a decent tutorial atm.

ind-bios already includes this, taken from the .nfo file:

Quote

In Game Reset - Off/Quick/Complete
--Reset to Game/Reset to Dash (Triggers + Black + Back) OR (Triggers + Back + Start)
--Shutdown (Triggers + Back + White)
--Tray Eject (Triggers + Right Thumb + Dpad UP)
--Tray Close (Triggers + Right Thumb + Dpad DOWN)
--Power Cycle (Triggers + Back + X + Black) [hint: hit X before black]

read the documentation, folks.

Ind-bios has the following button combo controls:

In Game Reset - Off/Quick/Complete

  • Reset to Game/Reset to Dash (Triggers + Black + Back) OR (Triggers + Back + Start)
  • Shutdown (Triggers + Back + White)
  • Tray Eject (Triggers + Right Thumb + Dpad UP)
  • Tray Close (Triggers + Right Thumb + Dpad DOWN)
  • Power Cycle (Triggers + Back + X + Black) [hint: hit X before black]

Oh yeah, the original iND-BiOS 5003 release has a few bugs.  One being the button combos, well at least, the Shutdown button combo activates without holding down all 4 buttons. It is activated by pressing only

Back + White buttons.

Makes the iND-BiOS a pain to use with CoinOPS since Black + White is the button combo used to open, IIRC, its configuration/settings menu.

THE FIX

Use the recently patched release of iND-BiOS 5003.  It fixes this problem and a couple of others:

One of the other patches / fixes allows Xbox Live login data packets to be sent.  A requirement to login to Insignia when it goes live.
