Noshtalja
get this error message whenever I try to play any game, the dash, boot up and everything works okay though Looking at the hard disk section I see that it has a file created for the games I tried to boot but they never boot past the xbox screen and then I get the error. Clock capacitor and everything is fine it looks good on the inside K:1.00.5101.01 D:1.00.4920.01 Anyone have any idea what it could be? Lina_Inverse_
First thing I would try is play a DVD if you have the DVD kit. Otherwise a CD and get back to us. Second would be to install a modchip. If games still don't work I would doubt any RAM testing tools like the one included in Xblast would be able to boot from DVD, perhaps still worth a try. In that case, your issue is quite likely to be there.

I tried another and I got the same error message, tried a different game that came in the last week and that worked too! but then the rest after that didn't. It seems theres the odd few games that work however the games that don't work aren't anymore worn or scratched than the ones that do... But, while most caps bulge or leak on top, just because they aren't doesn't mean that they aren't leaking from the bottom... So "looks good" didn't mean much. Bowlsnapper
I think your disc drive is failing, dude. Pick up a known working one, or replace it with a modded PC drive.

K:1.00.5101.01 D:1.00.4920.01 That is the dash, the reason I asked is some years ago I had similar with one of mine, cant remember what bios it had at the time, but when you inserted a game that came packaged with a dash updater, it didnt run that, like it always does on a non modded box. Galindrada
I believe I have the same problem as you. Although I can only play a demo game. I was running out of clues after replacing the DVD drive (which works fine on other Xbox) but I never thought about the HDD.
