XBOX encoder for arcade controls

Does anyone know of a cheap XBOX arcade control encoder or way to use a modded XBOX with arcade controls?  I currently have two cocktail cabinets I am trying to build up: one with an IPAC, and one with dragonrise encoders.  Ultimarc used to have one you could use with an IPAC be they no longer carry it and they aren't even on ebay.

I have seen degenatrons controller hack and its beyond my technical capabilities.

Thanks!

So if i understand correctly, you want to install an xbox into an arcade machine?

I kind of understand why but there are SO many other options more suited for arcade machines?  ( and Cheaply too )

At a pinch id say pickup a nasty cheap controller and strip it to the circuit board and attach wires directly to the arcade controls.

Hi and thanks for the reply.  Yes, that is what I want to do even though there are simpler options to build an arcade cab (the other one I have is run by a Pi3).  But I have a bunch of modded xboxes and i always thought it would be cool to put one in an arcade cabinet.

Unfortunately I don't have the skills necessary to strip and solder, that is why I am looking for cheap alternatives.

On the topic of Arcade controls, I'm having a devil of a time getting USB Arcade sticks to be recognized on the OG Xbox. I picked up two adapters from eBay with a USB type A female socket. I'm aware that it cuts the speeds down to USB 1.1, but that should still be sufficient for analog arcade controls.

My console does not recognize them whatsoever. What gives?

Even though the Xbox's controller ports are essentially USB ports, the Xbox doesn't have drivers to support just any USB device connected to it with a cable that has an Xbox controller port connector on one end and a type-A female USB socket on the other.

You need another device between the Xbox and arcade stick that will convert the arcade stick's data into information the Xbox can use.

For example, brookaccessory.com's Wingman XB.  This adapter allows many different controllers to work with the original Xbox but might not work for your specific arcade stick.

Which particular USB arcade stick are you trying to use?

look like a cool device if you want to use another console's controllers, but unfortunately doesn't appear to have many options for arcade controllers.  I've heard of making a homemade device using an arduino, anyone have experience doing that or know how easy / hard it might be?

Wondering if there's been any advancements in XBOX to arcade controller connections/adapters over the past year that would help revive this project.  As a recap, looking to use an XBOX to run my arcade cocktail cabinet and need to find a way to interface my arcade controllers (dragonrise) with the XBOX.  Unlike Liam Neeson, i do NOT have a particular set of skills (when it comes to soldering).
