How To Auto Load Kernel Patcher XBe After Enter Dash

I have a Xbox (v1..1),  Currently it has Modded with Spider Chip with M8+ Bios flashed.

(* Its HDD content actually is softmoded, but due to old HDD failing, I cloned the content to the current HDD which is not lockable, thus had to use the spiderchip again)

One of disadvantage of modchip is it doesn't support playing game from ISO directly,  But nkpatcher seems only for softmod.  Therefore, I searched and managed to find out from the post    http://www.emuxtras.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=187&t=3228&start=20,    about using the amazing console app "cdrom_modchip" to load the ISO file.  It works greatly without needing to config or code anything.,  except having to run/load the patcher every time after the xbox restart.

Does anyone have any idea how to load the patcher.xbe automatically when the DASH started.   From the post above,  it was mentioned about configing the IND_Bios.cfg ( the order of DASH1, DASH2, DASH3 etc).  But I don't like ind_bios, as I feel M8 bios is much clean and faster. .

Thanks in advance

Peter

You have to either rename the bios patcher app to what M8+ BIOS runs on startup, evoxdash.xbe, and set the patchers chained app to your dashboard's xbe file (requires the patcher app to be recompiled/assembled).

Or, edit M8+ BIOS's boot order entries with EVTool v1.0.9, save the updated BIOS and reflash your modchip with the updated BIOS.

I personally have the BIOS patcher app named evoxdash.xbe (the first executable the M8+ BIOS's attempts to run) and the xbe file the patcher runs after patching the BIOS is set to C:\evox.xbe (which is actually an XBE shortcut created with XBE Shortcut Maker 2.0 that loads my dashboard's executable - F:\Apps\UnleashX\default.xbe).

Here is what I use personally.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzRN8P835YijbGtrU3ZIZkl3c2c

it loads a BFM M8+ bios with eject fix as ind-bios has issues with ISO loading, so tell your bios to load C:\BFM\default.xbe and it will do the rest. It uses my dashloader for dashboard loading so if you don’t want to use it put your own shortcut there called dashloader.xbe or add a .cfg file called dashloader.cfg and add your path in there instead. ( so much simpler )

Hi, KaosEngineer

Based your explanation earlier, can I assume your BIOS patcher app named evoxdash.xbe must be recompiled to chain the Shortcut Xbe,  is that right?

However, if M8 Bios loads Dashes in an order as the screenshot shows, Can I just rename the 1) patcher.xbe to evoXdash.xbe, and 2). original evoxdash.xbe to AvaDash.xbe?  So that after evoXdash.xbe (patcher) is loaded, it loads AvaDash.xbe (evoxdash.xbe) ?

Or do I still have to recompile the patcher.xbe to chain the next xbe?     ( I hope my understanding is correct :$)

Hi, Rocky5

I realized that I have already had your file downloaded couple of days ago, but didn't know what is exact for :P

I will give it a try if KaosEngineer's method fails.   Thank you in advance :)
