KaosEngineer Posted December 12, 2021 Report Share Posted December 12, 2021 What's it do now when you boot it without the Hexen disc? Go to a blank/black screen after the startup animation plays. colinmcm Posted December 13, 2021 Author Report Share Posted December 13, 2021 Made it easy for myself on my 1.6. I went and put in a new hard drive. Now its a fresh drive. It formatted and worked. One problem is tried to flash the modchip. And it wound not. Now wondering if the chip is fake or what they changed on the chip and what firmware its using. It works but cant update it. Any help. To me, the SST49LF020A on your modchip is a FAKE / rebadged part. It identifies itself to Evox's flashing routine as an SST49LF002B with the Manufactuer ID: bf and Product ID: 57, not an SST49LF020A with Manufacturer ID: bf and Product ID: 52.
