Need help with aladdin 1.6 XBox nott booting

My setup:

-Xbox 1.6

-Aladin modchip

-500gb sata hdd

-adapter sata ide pretty new and funcitonal

-truHexen2021 boot disc, booting just fine

 

After i've managed to install everything with the boot disc, the console hangs in evox logo. If boot with the disc, it loads ok.

 

Steps:

-Boot disc, prompt "new hdd", formated

-Hdd tools, formated again with xbpartitioner 1.3, leaving only f partition 430gb~

-Created only F partition, not g.

-Install dashboard: xbmc4gamers: prompt: use as main one? Answer: Yes (on f partition)

-Clear cache, check if f is created on file manager, apps folder ok, xbmc4gamers ok.

-Took off the disc

-Boot xbox

-Evox logo hang screen. microsoft text below the screen

 

Did I miss something?

Do you use a 80 wire cable or the old 40 wire? What type/brand is your new HDD (WD Green)?

The BIOS cannot find one of the executables in its boot order list. 

The DVD boots because loading default.xbe from DVD is done before trying to load one of the XBE files from the hard drive.

Which BIOS is flashed to the modchip?  

Is there a file on the C drive named evoxdash.xbe?

Edit: If so, what size is it?

Yes i'm using 80wire cable. my hdd is a 3,5'' samsung sata III.

About the bios, I don't know how to check wich one is on my chip.

 

Now i'm strugling with resolution zoom. Letters are out of screen. I'm using composite cables on samsung 1080p TV(tv is set to 16:9 mode), planning to get component, but from China, a couple months to arrive.

 

XBMC4gamers settings is 16:9; option to calibrate screen i can move top/left but not bottom/right arrow for some reason, or is this design?

About the videio configs: Deflicker, resolution (when i get component).

When I set deflicker, soften filter on config menu, or even de calibration screen menu, these seetings is applied to the menu only, or the games as well?

My goal is to patch every 480i to 480p, I don't want to push beyond that (for now).

480p games that does not work on 1.6 xbox needs patching on the .xbe, or xbmc4gamers has a way to do on the fly patches?

 

I know there's a collection out there in a disc, with patches pre made. But may be not updated.

I've modded pretty much every moddable console out there, and this is by far, the most dificult one. If not for you, i 'd given up.

 

The xbmc4gamers did boot, but no games showed up. I see that f and g are not proper showing also in file manager. And i don't know if what i did has anything to do with this new problem.

 

I'm starting from basics, because the thing got in a way that remembers me of the first xbox i have and bricked, and no one ever knew why and how. This is my third xbox, and the first i got this near to get it work.

 

1 - Is this planet earth?

2 - I hear somewhere, the game format go extracted (single xbe executable) go into f:/games and/or g:/games. Am I Right?

-f:\games\game1\bunch of folders, files and at least a xbe file.

3 - I cannot move my games with fatXplorer? this is what i did. put the hdd on pc, fatxxplorer says "hey you hdd is locked, unlock it". I did this with the configmagic 1.6 in my boot disc. Hdd unlocked, fatXplorer recognized it, move 200gb of hddready collection to the games folder on f:\games\, plus 200gb more into g:\games\.

4 - Boot into xbmc4gamers, not single one game showing

5-locked hdd again, and still no single gaming showing

6- noted that in file explorer f and g are not available

7- Launched xbpartitioner 1.3, and some never seen before message: "LBA48 info not found, you may not be able to use custom partition" or something like that.

8- If I do from begining, i don't know how to avoid any possible error.

As the Xbox has a modchip you can use the HDD unlocked, I use Xblast to unlock the hard drive but any of the apps that can unlock should be fine.

Make sure the games are not in to many folders like F:games/folder1/games a/game

With a hard modded Xbox (mod chip or onboard bios re-flash) it's best to leave the HDD unlocked.

Probably the bios file is old, I use either EvoxM8+.67, Ind5004.67 (both are 256kb and fit on the Aladdin mod chip) or the X2-5035.67 (512kb)

1st load the OGXbox installer disk and re-flash the modchip with EvoxM8+.67 or Ind 5004.67

now you can use Fatxplorer 3.0 Beta to format the HDD and copy the OS/Dash to C and E drives.

Have a look for "OGXBox Installer 2021 - v1.5.3 beta 2 For FatXplorer + XBoxHDM"  here https://1fichier.com/dir/mX1kipIz

This has all the files need to setup the HDD to run in the Xbox.

Then after testing the HDD you can then copy some of the HDD ready folders to the Xbox HDD using Fatxplorer.

 

As the HDD is under 2tb you really should have only F drive.

How do I know wich bios I Have, and wich tool to flash if i really need one?

it is bios checker? If is, i don't know whats this screen means:

The disc i'm using is indeed the one you you provided but 1.5.4 version

I like the way disc copy everything to the c:\ and e:\ partition, ans install default single xbmc4gamers dashboard.

It looks like you have the EvoxM8 bios that is set to F drive and no G drive (EvoxM8+ 06), I would re-flash to a EvoxM8.67 bios purely so if and when you upgrade to a 2tb or 3tb (2.2tb useable) drive it will work.

launch live apps

then option 2 then 2.2 now 2.2.1 followed by 2.2.1.1

now scroll down and use ""EvoX m8+ CEE noDVD X4G (256kb)""

This will support any size HDD and boots to xbmc4gamers as the 1st dash.

It has no-DVD but you can still cold boot a DVD disk if needed by putting the disk in the drive and power cycle the Xbox.

this show up, saying the bios is v1.0~v1.5, is this right, just a typo? My xbox is 1.6

I've flashed the one you said, games appeared on xbmc4gamers.

Still don't know the difference between nodvd and yesdvd.

Now i'm use fatxplorer to move games around. it will take couple hours.

The noDVD Bios disables the DVD check when you power on your xbox. It's useful in case your DVD stop working. It basicly prevents you to get an DVD error massage on boot.

- While copying my games using fat xplorer 3.0 beta, some of them caused an error.

- I've used xdvd mulleter to extract most of my redump isos. For the ones xdvd mulleter did not recognize, I've used xbox image browser, and worked just fine (I guess).

- Now, that is time to copy all my games to the hdd, i've encountered some questions regarding fatX file structure limitations.

- Question: If I'm able to copy the game to the HDD, it automaticly means that will work fine begin to end of the game? Considering it is a perfect redump extraction...

- If error, how do I proceed? I've seen a lot of options. Avalaunch + quix, xmbc + auto truncate option, burn dvd of the game and use dvd2xbox, also saw over here and over there, that i Can mount iso on xbox hdd, but the xbox will "think" it's reading from disc drive, so no fatx limitations. It's get me confusing, and i don't know if there are updates for any of this options, and if some are obsolete.

                      - when cannot just copy the game to the hdd, Wich one of the options is the way to go?

Maybe to long file names or forbidden signs. Both is possible. There are some games out there which can't copied to HDD because of that.

Not always. Sometimes you need to patch the game using DVD2XBox. And some games didn't work at all (not much).

That depends. If DVD2XBox isn't able to fix the error I would try to use the game as XISO using an iND XISO Bios + XBMC4Gamers

 Again, I mean I've looked everywhere, I like to learn, and I'm no lazy, it's all new to me, and xbox gets very confusing. So many variables (bios, custom bios, console revisions, dashboards, formats, converters, patches, etc, i don't ever know if a thing or another is compatible with my xbox)
