How do I program on the Original Xbox?

Hey y’all, so I want to make a game on the original Xbox but here’s the problem, Idk what to do for programing Original Xbox code so can you help me please!

I would guess you need an XBox Dev Kit, SDK/XDK, Visual Studio.NET, C/C++ knowledge, time to read tutorials, more time to read manuals, a high frustrationslevel, a truck load of coffee (nothing in the IT works without coffee (Basicly rule no.1)) and I guess many things more....

But should TheXbox Messiah not now such things?

I know how to code in c++ and install the xdk on the original Xbox and do all that stuff!

XDK's also the software development package needed on your PC with Visual Studio 2003.  With it, you must use the older version of Visual Studio, not the latest one available.  IIRC, there are also some old update packages that must be installed too for VS2003.

 

Edit: For Visual Studio 2003 to run.  I believe you need an older OS on the PC as well - Windows XP.

 

I'm not sure which later Windows versions will run it.
