I just got back into Xbox modding after about 10 years and I realized i have a few xboxs with dead dvd drives. if I print the USB PCB from the control panel will I be able to plug it into the chips contoll panel port to use it as a way to transfer smaller games without having to plug xbox into pc all the time?

The sort answer is No the USB is mainly to use a thumb drive as a memory card or for a keyboard/mouse setup.

You can buy a game port to USB from eBay or make your own as that all the X3cp USB port is doing anyway.

This is a quick one I made from a DVD receiver.

Plus as a storage it's limited to under 4gb, Best to use FTP or fit a 2tb and then fill with games/apps via Fatxplorer 3.0 beta.

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

Im trying to not slow down my computer though and would rather something internal so shouldnt the control  panel usb connect to the modchip through a ribbon cable?

No the USB on the X3cp is connected to the game port 3 and 4.

And a best the USB is 1.1 is 12Mbps.

If you are talking about substituting a USB thumb drive for a HDD that works but it's still slower than a HDD and less reliable.
