Johny white
So I've just completed my openxenium install along with spi2par2019 / LCD display and Segate 2TB HDD. There are 4 bio on the openxenium which are x2.5035.137 bin, IND-BIOS.5004.67.bin, evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin and Retail Kernel. If I boot with the evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin bios, the console hangs up on the xbox logo and the word microsoft when its trying to load the dash. If I reset the console by ejecting the disc and closing it, it reboots fine striaght into the dash. If I use either x2.5035.137.bin or IND-BIOS.5004.67.bin then console boots straight into the dash from the first time. I tried different HDD, different IDE2SATA adapter both chinese and StarTech ones with all giving the same problem. This leads to believe that the issue is with the evox bios. Any suggestions or idea, should I be using a different evox bios? HDD is formatted with extra G & F partitions, I resized the partions to a smaller size, restarted and then re-partitioned again to the correct size as suggested in a previous post. SS_Dave
The X2-5035.137 and the EvoX.m8plus.137 bios files are for hard drives under 120gb and you should have the X2 5035.67 and the EvoxM8plus.67 as both are set for F and G drives (2tb or 3tb) Also the Evox bios you listed was made for the version 1.6 (v16)and it looks a F drive 1st then C drive. You should also have a config file on E drive (x2config.ini) for the X2 bios and a config file on C drive (ind-bios.ini) for the EvoX bios Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. KaosEngineer
You need to know that XBE files the BIOSes are looking for in their boot order list. There are many different configurations available on all of the latest installer discs as well as those for the xbins original distributions of the BIOSes. For X2 5035 and ind-bios 5003/5004, they use a text file stored on the hard drive to make changes to their settings which includes the XBE files they attempt to load for a replacement dashboard. LBA48 Support As long as the BIOS has LBA48 v2 or later support included, it does NOT matter which version .06 or .67 of the BIOS you have flashed to the modchip. The one thing that does matter is that XBPartitioner v1.3 wrote a partition table to the hard drive. This partition table is stored in the first sector of the hard drive. With the partition table present, the BIOS's default LBA48 configuration setting is overridden by the partition settings stored on the hard drive in the partition table. You can use Evoxdash to check the contents of your hard drive to see if a partition table is present. 1. Run Evoxdash 2. Connect to your Xbox with an FTP client (Filezilla is used in the example below.) 3. Select Server > Enter custom command... from the menu: 4. In the pop-up Window that appears key-in: site dumphddsector 0 1 [Edit: site keyword not needed.] Click OK to execute the command. Doing so will dump the contents of 1 sector starting at sector 0 of the hard drive. 5. Look in the log window section of Filezilla for the display of the partition table.
