Rotate video output for a cocktail cabinet build

hey all,

  Building a cocktail arcade cabinet, which requires the display to be mounted vertically instead of the typical horizontal orientation.  The TV display we are using doesn't have the ability to do it within its menu.  I've seen an option to do so on non Xbox arcade cabinets (and it actually flipped 180degrees for 2 player games as well) , i was wondering if anyone knew how to do it with a modded xbox, either natively within UnleashX or XBMC-emustation or XBMC4Gamers....or another way.  CoinOps has limited capability to do so with certain games, but it also inverts controls when doing so.  Any help or guidance you have would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Some arcade games playable on the Xbox with MAME emulators were designed for cocktail table play. Their settings menu allowed to confiigure them for 2 player cocktail cabinet designs.  But, many do not have such a setting.  

There's no software available to have the Xbox do the screen flip for you.  

I believe you'd need a hardware device attached between the Xbox and TV/monitor to flip it for you.  You'd have to manually switch it each time you want the other player to see the screen upright.

One I found, Aurora Multimedia's DIDO Jr., with a quick google search was over $400. Posts I've seen said they were sometimes on sale for as low as $100. Aurora Multimedia's PRO versions are $1500+.

I found another, HDMI MirrorBox, that's $500. 

However, it too has been discontinued.

Thanks so much for the info.  Looks like using an Xbox with a cocktail table is a dead idea.  Will have to explore the idea with a PCB or retroPi
