BeerDude37 Posted June 27, 2021 Report Share Posted June 27, 2021 I recently went from rocky5’s softmod to a TSOP. Everything went smooth. I would like to change the HDD key from all 0’s to all 1’s. I still have config magic on my HDD. Is it as simple as unlocking, editing the eeprom then relocking? Or is there a better method? Thanks! As the Xbox is now hard modded you are better off leaving the HDD unlocked and the only reason for changing the HDD key from all zero's is if you plan on using Insignia (New Xbox Live). I think there is also a HDD Null program on the OGXbox Installation 2021 disk. If you use Xblast to unlock and then lock it will generate a new HDD key as well. Just leave the HDD unlocked. Yep You can have any key you like even 31 zeros a single one basically anything other than all zeros.
