lizardmonkey
Proof of concept for a piece of hardware I am going to be developing..... Sending commands over the SMBus from an xbox application to an Arduino.... Hard to see; but each button press sends a "*" to the terminal.... xicat487
I don't know much about Arduino, but that is a sweet heatsink cover. Did you design that and if so willing to share the STL file ?

Baggashite
What's the ultimate goal, if you don't mind me asking?
lizardmonkey
So the plan is to create a device to control the following based on Xbox system status: 1.) Drive 1 RGB LED or 3 other LEDs (PWM for brightness control) 2.) Control any additional fans added into the xbox (1 with PWM control, 2 on/off) 3.) Addressable RGB LED strip control (WS2812B) Will be working an xbox app to configure the Arduino. From there you can configure the function of the pins; when the LED's change colors; temperature thresholds for fans etc. I would like to be also able to eventually pull from the SPI bus from an openxenium (I believe this would allow per game color change of LED's).
