hastings298
Can i make component cables for the 360 out of them? Or will only 360 component cables work?
SS_Dave
You really need 5 X RCA plugs For component video you need 1 red 1 green 1 blue and audio is white and red Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. Composite cables to make component cables for an Xbox or Xbox 360? Composite only has Yellow (Composite video), Red (right analog audio) and White (Left analog audio) RCA jacks. An Xbox 360 component cable has these plus Red, Green, Blue component video RCA jacks with 75 Ohm imdepance matching cabling and a TOSLink optical digital audio connector. hastings298
Yes but can't i use 2 composite cables and Frankenstein together another component?

No, the cable/wires used to carry the higher speed component video cables are/should be 75 Ohm impedance matching coaxial cables. The cable/wires used to carry the lower resolution/speed composite video signal is most likely not an impedance matching coaxial cable. However, it may work for such a short run (3 to 6 ft) but may have some to a lot of interference in the output just like cheap Chinesium component cables.

Thanks buddy, I've got a box of these crappy 360 cables and nothing to do with them then I guess. Sad! I've only got 5 360 component cables left I used your tip about using the yellow video cable for coax digital though - works great! Thanks! KaosEngineer
Post a picture of the Xbox 360 cables you are talking about. The one posted just above is a component cable not just composite. It has Red, Green, Blue component RCA jacks and Red/White stereo audio and Yellow for composite video out. Or, is that made from one of the other Xbox 360 component cables you mentioned. The others are just yellow composite and red/white audio like I said.
KaosEngineer
Ok. Those won't work to make an OGXbox component cable.
