Possible to connect xbox via internet with my PC?

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I would like to have a folder on my PC with xbox games and I want to know if it is possible to connect my xbox via internet to the PC with some kind of internet browser and insert a ip or something and copy the xbox games from my PC to the Xbox. I have my console connected to the internet with ethernet cable.

I know it is possible to connect both with crossover cable but I am talking if I have my PC on the living room and my xbox on my room.

Thanks.

You can connect the Xbox to your home network then connect to your Xbox from any computer on that network and FTP to it.

I found it easier to have the Xbox set to DCHP.

What dash are you using on the Xbox?

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

I have two dash. Xbmx4Gamers and Unleashed

How would I do that? I can't find any tutorial or something.

For xmbc4gamers

Press the black button then Settings, Network

After changing the setting power cycle the Xbox and if you go back to that menu you can see the IP address it has been assigned.

How much do you need to transfer to the Xbox as FTP is supper slow

If you have a home wireless router, just connect your Xbox with a normal Ethernet cable to it. Most wireless routers have four Ethernet ports anyway.

DHCP is easiest, as it ensures your PC and your Xbox are on the same subnet.

Install FileZilla on your PC, and you will be able to easily FTP in to your Xbox at the IP address assigned to your Xbox. If you're not certain on what is the IP address assigned to your Xbox by your router, you can easily look it up in your router's device list page (most routers have this feature).

I FTP games to my Xbox all the time, and I get speeds of around 12MBps. My PC is connected via 802.11ac Wi-Fi to my router, and my Xbox is connected to a Gigabit Ethernet switch to my router.

So I've just completed my openxenium install along with spi2par2019 / LCD display and Segate 2TB HDD. There are 4 bio on the openxenium which are x2.5035.137 bin, IND-BIOS.5004.67.bin, evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin and Retail Kernel.
If I boot with the evox.m8plus.v16.fc.137.bin bios, the console hangs up on the xbox logo and the word microsoft when its trying to load the dash. If I reset the console by ejecting the disc and closing it, it reboots fine striaght into the dash.
If I use either x2.5035.137.bin or IND-BIOS.5004.67.bin then console boots straight into the dash from the first time. I tried different HDD, different IDE2SATA adapter both chinese and StarTech ones with all giving the same problem. This leads to believe that the issue is with the evox bios.
Any suggestions or idea, should I be using a different evox bios? HDD is formatted with extra G & F partitions, I resized the partions to a smaller size, restarted and then re-partitioned again to the correct size as suggested in a previous post.

      Hello,
I know PAL games can display 480p if a PAL Xbox is softmodded NTSC.
But do those « forced » 480p PAL games are as good as native 480p NTSC games ?
I explain my point : on a region free PAL Gamecube, you can force 480p on PAL games with Swiss. But some games aren’t as good as their NTSC equivalent in 480p, because they are optimized for 480i/576i mode, not for 480i/480p mode, and so they can have some issues with their pictures.
So, my question is : do PAL Xbox games have this kind of optimization for PAL region, as Gamecube games, or are they strictly identical to NTSC ones ?
      Thanks for your answers.

Hi all! I'm having some trouble with installing an OpenXenium purchased from MakeMHZ into an Xbox 1.0. I'm relatively new to this, and have surely made some mistakes. When I start it up, it does this: https://imgur.com/a/HTHYrU2
      Here's what I know:
Stupidly, I soldered the D0 pad on the modchip to the 1.6 pad - that has been fixed. I don't think this is the issue, because I have a second chip that I did not make this mistake with, and it still does not work.  I didn't scrape the solder mask off LPC ports, and really had trouble flowing the joints. The one I'm most concerned with is the bottom right joint of the first photo. Can I run a jump wire from that to one of the nearby test pads?  I'm fairly confident the D0 pad on the modchip is correctly connected to D0 on the board - I tested the continuity from the chip to the both points on the board, and was good.  I have photos available here: https://imgur.com/a/FX7R43B
Thanks for any info in advance!!
