So I’ve got an Xbox 1.0 that was opened before me when I got it. It flashes red and green after 3 reboots and I get no video please help!!

3 reboots and no video. I’ve changed a couple caps near the clock cap hoping it would be that but no luck. I removed clock capacitor cleaned the whole board with ipa and tested it and still no luck. Bought an Aladdin off eBay hooked it up and still nothing worked. Could someone have done a bad eeprom flash? I’ve ruled out the power supply already and even with the HDD and dvd drive unplugged it still doesn’t work. As far as I can tell the tsop points are not bridged . What else can I try to fix this?

Was there or is there any signs of work before like fresh solder on the LPC port or elsewhere?

Has the D0 point on the top or bottom had solder on it before?

Also is the reg/green an even flash like 50% red and 50% green?

I always ujest you post a pic of the main board top and bottom as quite often a 2nd set of eyes might see something else wrong.

Cheers

Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

No it didn’t look like any modifications had been done. If a modchip was in there and removed then the lpc area would be empty of solder wouldn’t it? It looked factory unless they were very good at soldering. I haven’t checked the d0 point on top but the bottom one definitely had no solder because when I went to ground d0 it looked very stock. And no it goes from red then switches to green it’s not like half green half red if that’s what you’re asking. I can upload some pics tomorrow after I uninstall the modchip. It looks like the clock cap leaked on the top all over some resistors. I could try cleaning it again. Maybe that might help?
