KaosEngineer
I think it can still be repaired. You'll need to clean the L (line) contact and the burnt material from the area and scrap a bit of the solder mask (green material) off the trace on the bottom side of the printed circuit board (PCB). Resolder the connection and flow a good amount of solder along the entire trace to strengthen the connection. The solder alone on these early PSUs is all that held the connector to the PCB. You see the reason MS offered a free protected power cord replacement for 14+ million Xbox owners. They should have been required to do a PSU retrofit to actually fix the problem not release a band-aid to hide it. KaosEngineer
What version of Xbox is it? Looking at the pictures again, that power receptacle has additional supports to hold it securely to the printed circuit board that's missing on earlier v1..0/1.1 PSUs. Is it rated for 100-127VAC or ???-240VAC mains input? I'm not sure what a UK PSUs input voltage range was.
