Maladin
Just soldered some ram into one of my Xboxs last night now I have the blinking ram error light
sweetdarkdestiny
Because you will have some solder brigdes. Post "good" pictures of your soldered rams and by that you can check that with a magnifier
Maladin
I went over them 5 times. Can't see any bridges. Checked with meter too.
sweetdarkdestiny
without pictures it's just guessing but how ever. Lets assume there are no bridges and all pins have propper contact. Then there is probably one or more of the ram chips dead. I guess right, you dont have testet each of the chips after soldering with an alddin xblast or xblast to check that? What i'm asking ofc not. Do you have on one hand and able to get one? https://retrogamerstuff.com/products/xblast-aladdin
ShinGoutetsu
Did you use cheap Chinese ram? There's a lot of fake Samsung ram chips about which just don't work 50% of the time. If you used good ram please show pictures of your soldering so we can see the quality of your work, no offense but someone may spot something you missed. Did you install without first using an xblast modchip?
Maladin
That's possiblity it. It says Samsung but it may not be

sweetdarkdestiny
Pretty good job. The only thing i can think of when i see the pictures is, you may have a solder blob somewhere around the area which i you didn't saw? Maladin
Been over everything 6 times. Took pictures of all the sides. Can't see anything. I did notice after last cleaning I can get the Bois logo on screen before it freezes. After that it's just red orange light. Wondering if there are bad caps? Maladin
128mb of ram https://imgur.com/gallery/yyTu3VM It decided to boot up
SS_Dave
That why I have a modchip with Xblast on it as it will test each extra chip and give a pass or fail for each chip and you can test each chip as you fit it. You can also set NTSC 480p,720 output,Fan speed plus other settings. Maladin
All chips good https://imgur.com/gallery/dvpnxVB I get success but the system seems to be heating up and locking up quickly.
Maladin
This is the motherboard I fixed the trace rot on. I figured this one was the bestboard for my first attempt to install memory but maybe I did more damage to the board.

The chips heat up and the system locks up
SS_Dave
Check the caps next to the heat sink, A open circuit cap could cause frequency interference on the power rails.
