GoTeamScotch
It's not quite optical-drive-emulation, but the new CERBIOS version 2.00 BIOS that was released earlier this week offers dual hard drive support. The Xbox already supports IDE to SD/CF adapters, so it would be trivial to replace the DVD drive with one of these cheap adapters, then use SD cards in addition to the regular (or upgraded) internal HDD to hold game ISOs. This new update is nothing short of incredible. Other than the obvious cool factor, I suppose this is another case of an option so vastly superior to ODE that you wouldn't need to bother. Although ODE emulation still sounds like a nice idea... Edited May 26, 2022 by Ribbenaster

neakmenter
https://3do.dev/products/ide-emulator-batch1 they’re on sale! Not cheap though. Way more than an Xbox and a massive hdd right now.. but if you’ve got deep pockets it might be worth a test???
