fridayshoes
I have a TSOPED Xbox PAL console and it is running the 2TB Origins image. I had previously set the the video mode to NTSC and was using the HD resolutions fine no problem with a HD component cable, only trouble was the cable was not good quality and caused a lot of buzzing sound through my speakers. So I bought the Bitfunx HMDI adaptor (think it is similar, if not same as the Pound one). Problem I have now is that I can't seem to use it and display in NTSC HD modes at all. If I set the console to PAL the Xbox shows the EVOX boot screen and then loads the dashboard fine (obviously only in the lowest res PAL mode) If I set the console to NTSC the Xbox shows the EVOX boot screen but then the dashboard won't show as it appears the TV is not receiving a HD signal. I am stuck, is there anything I can try? Thanks in advance.

KaosEngineer
When in NTSC mode, connect the working but problematic high-def cable, run the ms dashboard to verify that the high-definition modes 480p and possibly 720p are enabled. Leave the 1080i video setting Off. Power off and connect the bitfunx cable. What happens?

I find the Wii2HDMI works great. I should look into replacing the existing connector with it though,,,
fridayshoes
Update, I've managed to get it working with the HD modes, although it's a bit of slightly annoying process. Basically I've found that the Bitfunx adaptor doesn't like switching automatically to the HD modes used during the dashboard on my LG tv after the Evox boot screen. To get around this I have to switch the TV to another hdmi input channel and then back to the one connected to the xbox, then it will display the dashboard in HD. RetroEmulationNation
sorry to hear about the technical difficulties, and many thanks for sharing I was about to buy the Bitfunx HDMI adapter as well, but switched to Chimeric Systems' version instead
