XBmc4gamers - Re-Initialise Network

I’m still getting to grips with using the og Xbox in 2020, well setting it up.

I’ve got a USB powered WiFi bridge that plugs into the Ethernet port, and is powered directly from the console.

But the console starts up quicker than the the bridge can connect.

Is there an option I’m missing that will force XBMC4Gamers to check the network again and then it’ll get an IP address?

Have you got another dash on your system? Once your dash has loaded try loading the 2nd dash and see if that works.
Another option is to get a internet adaptor that uses the ring/radial power circuit to run you internet connection back to your hub, or a wireless extender with a ethernet adaptor.

Good plan.  I can put another Dash on there and then switch from one to the other.  I only need to use it this way on the odd occasion when not playing on the main TV - I have wired network available there.

I'm assuming it's possible to setup a manual link to another XBE file from within XBMC4Gamers to something like EvoX (what I'm used to and if I remember correctly quite simple to put a manual item on to XBMC4Gamers (can't remember if I put in in E:\Apps\XB... or just E:\XB... so it might not get picked up automatically).

If you setup unleashx as your dash and then setup a gamepad shortcut to load xbmc4gamers and see if that gives you enough time.

If it's only for occasional sessions, then simply rebooting the console should do it, as well as restarting XBMC4Gamers.

Evolution-X has an option to delay the network setup.

What version Xbox?

Ha - that's pretty funny if that works - I always look for the most convoluted solution first.  I can't try it right now but does an IGR not cut power to the controller ports (I'm using a USB adapter to get power for the WiFi bridge.

@SS_Dave - I'm running a 1.1

The IGR should not effect on the 5 volt supply at the controllers.

If it was a version 1.6 the power supply has a constant 5 volt supply that could be used to power the  WiFi adaptor but the other version have a 3.3 volt constant supply.

EvolutionX Version +3935 (the dashboard, not the BIOS, to be clear) has a "Setup Delay" option in the network settings. Setting that to something like 2000 causes it to delay for roughly 10 seconds before setting up the network. Not for the faint of heart, though, as the screen simply stays black during that time.
