How Do I Stop My Modded Xbox From Auto Shutdown?

Recommended Posts

Have a look in the MS Dash board there is a shutdown timer there.

I had one that was set to 6 hours, I am not aware of any shut down timers in any of the dashboards.

Is it shutting down at the same time or random times ?

As long a s the M$ Dash is set to wide screen and you have 480 and 720 enabled that's all you need to do.

Then from there the Dashboard and the Game controls the video output.

As a example the XBMC4games is displayed in 720 and then when launching most games the output drops to 480.

      Hi,
I just downloaded GTA San Andreas to Xbox and ftped it over to the xbox.
When playing it the hd makes noise all the time? No problems in the game but it is usual with so much sound?
I tried Call of Duty on the Xbox and it does not make any noise when playing.

Quick question I am finding difficult to search online.
Like most, I mainly play games directly from the hard drive, but do occasionally like to play my games on disc. I am wondering if there is an application out there that gives you the option of disabling the dvd drive on startup?
I want to keep my dvd drive alive for as long as possible, and I cringe everytime I boot the Xbox and the laser searches for a disc that isn't there. It seems I am just degrading the lifetime of the drive that way. If I can disable the drive when I am not using it, I bet I would be able to squeeze more life out of it.
      Thanks!

any way to hook the hdd up to my pc and put the files on it directly? that'd take a few hours vs. 2 days to ftp.
