donnydarko
This machine boots and runs. I've been trying to find a wiring diagram to find out where this gray wire is supposed to be. I'm not 100% but I believe this is an old 2 piece execute chip. Any help would be appreciated
SS_Dave
It's the D0 wire I would suggest using the D0 in the bottom of the board as it's a bigger spot to solder to Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. SS_Dave
Also that's some crap solder work on the wires. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.

I don't think anyone would put up there hand and say I did that soldering. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. donnydarko
This was my first time soldering. I'm a welder by trade and now have nothing but respect for whoever does this all day. That little gray wire was a bitch. Thanks again for the help. I'm sure I'll have more questions now that I'm up and running.
Ging3rguy
If it works ... Next time just pre-tin the pad and push the wire onto it with the iron tip.

It is something you get better at with practice My 1st ever welds (stick welder) looked like pigeon droppings Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing. Im not saying it cant happen im just sayin i struggled with it
SS_Dave
What he is saying is you add fresh solder to the pad and fresh solder on the wire then lay the wire on the pad and apply heat from the iron and the wire will sink to the solder on the pad. Using leaded solder and flux paste helps as well. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It gets the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
