TSOP (Thin Small Outline Package) is the BIOS chip that can have the contents changed (flashed) What has happened is the stock BIOS has been replaced with a modified one and a TSOP flash and a Modchip both achieve the same result. The version 1.0 - 1.1 have a 1024kb size TSOP chip and the version 1.2 - 1.4 have a 256 kb TSOP Chip but to 95% of people that makes no difference.
