not certain if this is the right section to ask this question in since it really isn't a repair but don't know where else to post. one of my xbox's i bought to repair has something on it that almost looks like spots of dried mud but it isn't cleaning off like mud so i don't know what it is. i have tried denatured alcohol and goof off but neither are very effective. those cleaners lighten the spots but don't remove them. what is a good cleaner that won't hurt the black plastic(and the green xbox jewel in the center)?

It might be better to post some pics of the stains/marks you are trying to remove.

The one with CT on it would be ok for a sand and paint Xbox.

The white spots look a bit like paint maybe and the other one you could try some car plastic restoration prouducts.

You could try something like this on the cloudy looking one

The modchip has since been removed and the TSOP has been flashed along with a ram upgrade.

I give the metal a light sand with some wet and dry then primer and paint, For the crystals I use a bright silver and the others gloss black
