viper3344 Posted June 7, 2020 Report Share Posted June 7, 2020 Hey all! 1.6 crystal Xbox here with an aladdin chip. My Xbox fragged with error 7 so I assumed my HDD (softmod) was dead. So I got an aladdin, redid the LPC of course and got it to boot with the purple logo! Same thing though. Narrowed it down to the DVD drive. Whenever the disk drive is connect to both IDE and power, the XBOX with either FRAG with error 7 or if I just connect power it will just boot loop the blue xbox logo over and over. Samsung drive. Assuming its just a dead drive? Anyone hear of this? Any way to repair or do I just grab a drive from another xbox? Thanks! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SS_Dave Posted June 7, 2020 Report Share Posted June 7, 2020 Try a replacement drive from a different Xbox. You don't have the hard drive master slave link set to slave do you it should be on master. Seems like just the spare drives are more expensive than whole new consoles Just wondering if anyone has seen a dvd drive causing frags?
