XxWeLLeR Posted April 6, 2020 Author Report Share Posted April 6, 2020 Resolved-ish Attempted to mod another console, did the rocky 5 softmod, opened console and removed the clock cap, soldered tsop points, and swapped in another dvd drive since the stock drive way having disk read issues. boom error 16, combed over everything and still had error 16. tried reinstalling clock cap. no change. swapped the thompson dvd drive out back to the original and no more error 16. the thompson drive was in the other system i was having issues with as well. so i swapped in the drive from the new system and i was able to boot past error 16 (there were other issues) but NO MORE ERROR 16 anyone have any ide why a dvd drive would be causing this?
