X2.6 V5 No Power

Hello.

I bought for my collection broken xbox with old school modchip. I'm not familiar with this chip type at all, but I asume it's installed correctly. 

So the problem is there is no power. I replaced psu and power button assembly with no luck. Xbox is version 1.6.

Does the console try to power on but almost instantly turns off after releasing the power button?

Try booting the console with the Chip Enable switch moved to the On position.  This change is NOT going to fix a power problem though.

When you replace the power supply unit (PSU), make sure it is one to be used in a v1.6 console.  They have different voltages on some of the pins than all the previous versions of the Xbox PSUs.

What are the brand and model numbers of the power supply units you have?

It had a tuscany psu I replaced it with delta electronics one. When pressing power or eject nothing happens like it's dead.

The Delta power supply in the pic you posted looks like a version 1.2-1.5 one and is not compatible with the version 1.6 moan board

In the years I been working on and modding I have seen 2 Version power supply's that are faulty

Put the original one back in and test the 5 volt supply on the 3 red or orange wires it should be a steady 5 volt if it's turning on and off then one of the transistors near the IDE connector is faulty.

Test that and get back to me

Thank you for answers. It was a wrong type psu.=) Correct model psu and it booted  right up.
