p4rc0pr3s1s
Hey, I'm Nick. Started lurking on the Facebook group about a month ago. Used Xbox-Scene waay back in the day to softmod my original Xbox. It was sold along with alot of my collection when the Xbox 360 came out. I recently picked up my current box for $40 with two controllers and 17 games (mainly sports titles :/) Working on the soft mod now but still have to take it apart because it reads discs poorly and I need to remove the clock capacitor. Fun stuff!
BCFosheezy
Welcome! If you can just get it to read the game disk a single time you're good to go. Let us know if you need some assistance.
p4rc0pr3s1s
Well I have some actual games I'd like to rip as well, so I'll try cleaning it first. I've had these things apart so many times I actually remembered how to take it apart without even looking it up. Where I failed before was attempting a mod chip install. Soldering skills not up to par.
big F
Welcome! If it's anything other than a 1.6 then soldering is not so much of a thing provided you can get it to read a disk. You may find there's members near you that could help if you are not up to the soldering.
