shaokhann
Good morning, guys. Would it be possible to have an xbox with 2 hdd by eliminating the dvd player? For example: Eject button dvd= hdd1 Power key = hdd2. Are there any tutorials or guides to make this change? Thank you all.

KaosEngineer
You can have two hard drives but only one powered at a time. The Xbox requires the DVD drive to boot properly.

Thank you all. You could flash the BIOS with a No DVD check then you can remove the DVD drive altogether. As for switching between the two on a SATA drive there is 4 data lines that would need to be changed over and it would be feasible to set it up to boot from drive 1 from the power button and boot from drive 2 from the eject button or holding the eject while hitting the power button or something like that. I am not sure how the SATA drives would handle the data lines been rerouted via a switching system and it is something I have been meaning to test one day. Cheers SS Dave Soft modding is like masturbating, It get's the job done but it's nothing like the real thing.
