John 60
Hi, I have a modded original Xbox with coin-ops 8 on it. I was playing a game on coin-ops 8, and when I exited the game by pressing start and back on the controller and got back to the games list, the game had disappeared. I don't know if I maybe selected something on accident or what. How do I get the game back? Is there a way? BTW I'm pretty computer illiterate and don't own a computer. I also hit the black button to access the full games list instead of just favorites and the game is still gone. MadMartigan
What dashboard are you using? You can try to scan for games again if you’re on XBMC4Gamers or Emustation. If you’re on a different dash, navigate to your games folder from the file manager, in the options menu, and see if the game is still there. NokSueCow
You may have changed filters for the games list. There should be a button that changes filters.

NokSueCow
I've only scanned games in MAME, not CoinOPS. Scanning shouldn't mess it up, though. Have you found a Filter By button in CoinOPS yet?
John 60
Yes, using I believe the y button switches between filters. I made sure I went to "names merged" which puts all the names of the games list in alphabetical order despite what system or arcade game they are and I turned off"favorites" so that it is the entire games list, except the game that disappeared. So scanning the games is pretty safe?
NokSueCow
What CoinOPS pack is it? You can browse the game list folder and see if it's in there still. I would guess CoinOPS has lots of folders for each system.
John 60
It's coin-ops 8 I think. Do you know generally where to look for the folders? And if I did find the game, how do I get it back on the list? Would I"scan games" then? I have no idea what I did to make that game disappear, I had this Xbox for like 7 or 8 years now. First time this ever happened. NokSueCow
I've never figured out how to setup CoinOPS so I just use prebuilds like 8 Massive, Ninja Massive Repack, etc. I would think there would be a folder for the system the game was on somewhere. I cant be much more help as I don't have much experience with CoinOPS setups.
John 60
Hey, thanks both of you. Scanning the games brought the missing game back, but each game has a sample video of the game when you have the game highlighted. The game is back, which is the most important part, but there's no sample video of it. Does anyone know how to put a sample video of the gameplay back on it. Is there a button or combination of buttons you press on the controller to record gameplay to display? Thanks again
MadMartigan
You can download the videos from the downloader section in the settings menu.
John 60
I was trying to find that in settings on coinops but the only thing I saw was something like D/videos and other stuff after it and all the way to the right it says disabled. Would that be it? I don't see anything else. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong area. Edited March 23 by John

If you let me know maybe I can rip it from one of my CoinOPs setups and send it over to you. You can then drop it back in to the folder with all the other videos. Im not an expert on how coinops works either tbh, it alwasy seemed to be waaaaay more complicated than it should behind the scenes but I think the above could work.
John 60
Hey, thanks for the offer, but I don't even know how to find the folder and I don't have a computer either, just my phone. Otherwise I would take you up on that. The game was "outrun" which I use that spinner that I fabricated to play it. I have the GRS steering wheel that swaps out for the spinner knob that I use to play it so it's alot more like to the arcade. If you ever want to make that spinner, id be happy to give you any pointers if you run into any problems making it.
