KitMikro
So I thought I was done with the 1.6 I recently fixed but it seems like there is only working audio after I reconnect the AV cable. I have tried component, composite and HDMI converter cable. All cables work with other consoles. So after a cold boot it has no audio, I reconnected the AV cable and the audio is working again... What could be causing this?
KaosEngineer
Not sure! Dirty contacts. When you reseat the cable, it makes a good connection. Try cleaning the AVIP connector's pins on the back of the console. They may be covered with dust/gunk or corroded. I suggest obtaining a can of electronic contact cleaner or using 90%+ IPA and cotton swaps.
PluueeR
@KitMikro Have you ever find a solution for this problem? I am experiencing something similar (see: Xbox -> Component -> RetroTINK 4K = low volume - Repair - OGXbox.com).

KitMikro
Nope couldn’t get it to work properly. Video output only works if you reconnect the cable after booting
ThatJewishNerd
There are some electrolytic capacitors that handle audio. I'm wondering if they're marginal to the point where they need a second 'startup' for the inrush current to power through the increased resistance...? PluueeR
@KitMikro Is there no audio at all, or is the volume just very very low. What if you crank your TV all the way up?
