XMBC4Gamers Artwork Installer Offline Full install pack. UPDATED 26/09!

UPDATED link to the new 3.2 version. Includes everything from the XBMC4Gamers downloader before 25/09/24

UPDATE 26/09/24 Link has been updated again and includes the latest files inc the fixes for the manual installer. 

I have seen a few people having issues with downloading the Artwork Installer so I went ahead and grabbed the latest version, along with the Preview Videos and 128mb Fanart and have uploaded the whole thing to share here.

Xbox Artwork Installer 3.2.7z

 

Just FTP to your console and run the xbe. Choose in the options if you wish to install the 128mb Art and/or the Preview Videos or not. 

 

Now includes my artwork from the custom art thread here at OGX

As long as all elements are up to date I don’t mind. 
 

Normally downloader issues are caused by ISPs blocking DNS lookups or port 53. You can add a file named “disable_dns_check.bin” to the system folder & that should fix most issues people have.

@Rocky5 That was the fix that helped me get around the downloader dns issues.

The pack should be bang up to date unless you have updated anything Artwork related in the past 2 weeks. If so I will grab everything again and update my pack

Where does downloader store the artwork for the roms for the various consoles when you download those packs?  or does it?  Just from looking through the files it doesnt appear the rom artwork is saved.

The Artwork installer doesn't have any art for any emulator roms. Only Xbox games/Apps etc.

XBMC-Emustation downloader has an option for downloading RessurectionXtras artwork for many different console systems.  I assumed since downloader was being used for both XBMC4Gamers and XBMC-Emustation that both could download the artwork for various emulator systems but looking closer at it, I see XBMC4Gamers doesnt have the option.   Some of these artwork zips are quite large which made me wonder why downloader didnt save them but I guess this is more of an XBMC-Emustation question now.  Of course XBMC4Gamers and XBMC-Emustation function differently in the way they handle emulators so I understand why XBMC4Gamers doesnt offer the RessurectionXtras artwork although I do feel it could still be useful.

I guess I can grab the Artwork Installer from Emustation as well. It may work to install emu art if you run the xbe from the file manager in Gamers? I will give it a try later.

No, not yet. Rocky5 has said he is going to include them, I have been doing some minor housework re the default.xml files on all the packs in my thread as per his request. I believe he will add them once that has been completed.

I'm noticing the Title IDs for Dead or Alive 1 Ultimate and Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate are the same:

<titleid>54430006</titleid>

What's the correct ID for both titles?

I believe they're both the same game, the xbe's just have different names.

You have Gamers set to use Resources naming in the options? Those two don't have the xbox logo art, are they fresh installs? If so, run a manual artwork installer on them, press White to refresh content, run a Thumbnail Cleaner Script, select remove.

Not a fresh install. I did run manual for both titles already and that's how they are.  I'll run thumbnail cleaner and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion

They are out of order due to the way they are named. If you want to correct this you will have to manually edit the titles in the default.xml contained in the resources folder for each game.

The art from the installer doesn't have the Xbox logo across the top. 

   

DOAU1 used to have an xbox banner afaik but the art seems to have changed. DOAU2 with a banner can be grabbed from my art thread. 

I will make a new DOAU1 set with a banner later on today and add it to my thread
