HELLO!

Hello all,

Recently decided I wanted to start messing around with my v1.0 xbox again. I have one that was already soft modded, has teh EvoX dash, works a treat but, still has the 8gb hdd(bleh)
I figured since the Samsung drive refuses to read anything, that I would just install an OpenXenium and be off to the races. I was wrong.

Ive watched so many videos on the subject and, have sorta settled on Cerbios and a 4tb hdd. The guide I followed, using FatXplorer is really straight forward.
The issue is though, it starts to boot, goes a little slow then, defaults to the OG dashboard, freezes, then tells me the console needs service.
Unplugging the mod chip, putting the original HDD in and, rebooting, the evox dash and such are still in place.

In the recent weeks that I've become re-interested, Ive now gotten my hands on another modded xbox with a 500gb IDE. Im not sure whats wrong with it yet. Plug in and turn on, just get a flashing LED.
I've also gotten a total of 3 Thompson drives(Again, BLEH)

What is everyones go to for a prebuilt HDD image, since I have a openxenium?

Thank you again for the forum and, your eyeballs. lol

Finally got it. I had 99% of the info I needed but, being able to point to the right dash is what I was missing.
I was under the assumption that I absolutely had to have a working DVD drive to finish everything.
A guy from Facebook sent me a link to download a pre-fab C and E drive, that I set up with FatXplorer.

Now, to find a dash I like. XBMC4Gamers is cool but, isnt super intuitive, if you've never used it before.
