About Me

  1. UPDATE 24/08 The majority of the art in this thread is now included in the Official Artwork Installer available in the XBMC4GAmers/Emustation downloader. There are still some packs that are exclusive to this thread ANYTHING ADDED AFTER 01/09/24 IS NOT CURRENTLY IN THE OFFICIAL INSTALLER! I am also still working on the Homebrew games that still have no art. This thread contains all the custom _resource packs I have created for XBMC4Gamers. Each pack contains the various art needed for XBMC4Gamers, 3D covers etc along with a default.xml for the synopsis views. XMBC4Gamers Custom Art Download Here Update 11/09 Added Arcade Rips section, After Burner 1 & 2 and Space Harrier are the first to receive full art packs there. These are based on the Arcade Rip pack from Dominator over at EmuXtras. There is art for some of these games included in the official installer but they are missing certain pieces, my packs here will use the existing art (where available) and fill in the gaps. Where no existing art is available the packs will be fully custom art. These will also use the default.xml synopsis files provided by @NokSueCow. Update 25/09 @Rocky5 identified an issue with screenshot sizes in some of my packs, He kindly corrected them all on the Official Installer (Thanks ). I am going through and reupping the packs here with the corrected files, Apps are all done. The rest will follow over the next couple of days. Update 04/10 Added another BMX XXX alt artwork, this one uses the image found on the reverse of the official cover. Update 05/11 Added art for Sonic Nexus (Homebrew) and the next 2 games in the Arcade rips pack, Joust 1 & 2 and King of Dragons. Also added an art pack for the Prototype of Stargate SG-1 The Alliance. Credit to @Kracker642 on vgboxart.com who did the great work on the cover i based the pack around. Update 20/11 47 new packs added, most are for the Arcade Rips section (some are using the artwork from the officail installer but have had the missing screenshots, fanarts and preview videos added) but also packs added for Coinops 8 Lite/Massive/Tate Ed and Visionary 5 emulator sets. This means the Arcade rip set is almost complete. Only a handful left of that set left to do. Update 30/11 Art pack for Dead or Alive 3++ mod added to download link. Update 06/12 Art packs added for Street Fighter 2 - World Warrior, SF2 Champion Edition and SF2 Turbo - Hyper fighting in the Arcade Rips section. Also added a apck for Hydro thunder. This uses the art from the official installer but with the missing fanart, screenshots and preview video added. Update 07/12 Art pack added for the new homebrew port of SDLPoP (Prince of Persia) from Haguero over on the Xbox Scene discord. Update 10/12 Art packs added for 11 more Homebrew titles. I tried to use art from the homebrew game/dev wherever possible, this means that some art packs look a LOT better than others lol.... Depending on how much effort the game dev put in their games art Update 12/12 Art added for the Homebrew games, Chess Street Fighter, Dead Babies Xtreme and DefendguinX. Update 29/12 Art pack added for the new homebrew port "ClassiCube" Update 01/01 Art pack added for new homebrew release "Matterrun". Update 03/01 Art pack added for homebrew "Dodgin Diamond 2X" Update 06/02 Art pack added for the prototype Halo 2 E3 Multiplayer demo (Zanzibar). Credit to @Swagger for sourcing al the art used to build this set. Update 12/02 128mb Fanart folder added to download link. See post on page 11 for details. Also added art packs for the prototype games Starcraft Ghost and Shadowrun. 128mb fanart is also available for these in the 128mnb Fanart folder. Update 21/03 Art pack added for the Japanese retail release Zan Kabuki. Update 22/03 Zan Kabuki art has been updated, new art created from a much better source. Update 25/03 Added new section for Artwork made by DarkDestiny on Xbox-Scene. Main Cover image made by him, discs fanart made by me. Most also include preview videos. Update 2 25/03 Added previews videos to some of my older packs. The packs for Avalaunch, UnleashX/Alt, XblastOS and XCAT form the Apps section, the Atari Jag pack from the Emulators setcion and the Zsnexbox pack from the Xenon Xyanide section. Update 28/03 New art added... Homebrew - Duck Shoot, Fuel Crisis, Furby Kill 3D, Retail - Hyper Sports 2002 Winter (Japan), Apps - Xbox Online Dash. Update 08/04 New art added... Homebrew - Hannah, GladiatorX, GluttonX. More ALT packs made by @sweetdarkdestiny. These previews are small to keep the file size down on the thread. To use the art packs just copy the _resources folder to the game/app root folder, run XBMC4Gamers, go to the game/app, push the White button and select "Refresh All Info" Newest Packs (All include screenshots and a preview.mp4) Emulators Hypervision DosXbox Win3.x CoinOPS 8 Gems HyperVISION 5 Gems Coinops 8 Lite Coinops 8 Massive Coinops 8 Tate Ed. And here is a short video of a selection of them in dash. The below is from NokSueCow- "There are 349 Prototypes available for the Xbox from Project Deluge. I only made resource sets for the ones I thought people would care about. If the game was released I didn't create synopsis for it, with the exception of World Champ Pool 2003. It's actually a localized version of Snooker, and is explained in its synopsis. I used Rocky's downloader artwork for the games that were released. I removed their screenshots and preview videos, as they wouldn't be genuine, and trimmed their synopsis to reflect the disc builds. There are 17 total games that I spent time on, and are displayed in Nikey's video preview of the pack. 8 cancelled, 3 E3 Demos, 1 ComicCon, and 5 XDK Recovery's. American Idol loads and plays, Cars plays, Freedom Fighters plays, Hail to the Chimp requires a debug bios, He Man only plays in 480p, Made Man requires debug, Pacman Rally plays but only the hud is visible, Street Hoops plays, I couldn't get Marvel Nemesis, The Red Star, The Vatz, or US Open to play, possible debug requirement, and only 1 of the 5 XDK's would play, build 5028. Freedom Fighters doesn't have a preview video, the game files just don't have any. I couldn't get some of these to extract, either. I tried Repackinator, Mulleter, Extract-Xiso, CXbox, Qwix, nothing worked. The xiso to hdd script didn't work as well. Most of the game folders had to be trimmed for FatX, so you won't be able to just drop these into F/Protos and install easily, unfortunately. On pc, the whole set with resources take 838GB. And some of the pics of the physical game discs were taken at a weird angle, so it was hard to make it look perfect in photoshop." Anything above this text has been added AFTER 01/09/24 and are NOT yet included the Official Artwork Installer I'm slowly working through ALL the missing art for Homebrew games/ports (except standalone BOR games - Too many of them and BOR is better as a pack anyway ) Xenon Xyanide Emu Pack Art Apps Avalaunch Bios Checker BoXplorer Cerbios Flasher Disc Config Magic Controller Tester DVD2Xbox Enigmah Insignia Setup Insignia Setup Evolution X Chimp HDTV Test App Mouse Test Unleash X Xblast OS Xbox Version Detector Xbox HD+ Xbox Watch XBpartitioner XCAT XBcommander Xenium Tools XBMC4Xbox Xored Trainer Launcher XToolBox PrometheOS Tools UnleashX ALT Emulators Amiga CD32 Coinops 6 Coinops 6 Adult Coinops 6 Adult Alt Coinops 8 Adult Coinops 8 Adult Alt Capcom CPS3 DosboX Killer Instinct 1/2 Vectrex Mortal Kombat Arcade PC98 Ninja Atari Jaguar Final Burn Consoles SAM Coupe Big Ass Emulator Discs BAED (Spicy) TI-99 Unreleased Games Lamborghini Re-Volt Dinosaur Hunting (ENG) The Fast and the Furious Project Velocity Storm Riders KoF '96 Re-Bout Halo 2 Alpha Halo 2 Beta Retail (Alts) EXChaser (JPN) Tenchu 3 (JPN) DOA 2 Ultimate Bad Boys 2 PAL DOA XBV Nude Edition Playboy The Mansion Playboy The Mansion ALT BMX XXX BMX XXX ALT Larry MCL Alt Larry MCL Alt2 Homebrew Games and Ports Mario 64 The Griffon Legend Hydra Castle Labyrinth Sonic CD StepmaniaX ExUltX Jump and Bump PowermangaX CcelesteX LOZ-Navi's Quest Zelda 3 Tomb Raider 2 Tomb Raider 3 Blobwars Bubble Trouble Catacombs 3D Divi-Dead Doom Legacy Legend of Edgar Giddy 3 Kobo X Me & My Shadow Nam 98 Noiz2sa Doom Odamex Open TTD RawX Reminiscence RoadFighterX RockbotX RuXia 2018 Secret Maryo Chronicles Spear of Destiny 1 Spear of Destiny 2 Spear of Destiny 3 XDink Maze of Galious XUrQuan XVVVVX Hexen 2 Portal Of Praevus Xbox Exhibition Discs Xbox Demo Discs (56 discs in total) Root Source Thumbnails (these are used in the Root menu) Can make others of these on request Icons for Alphabetised Games Folders # A-Z in full set, each one must be renamed to folder.jpg and dropped into correct lettered folder. The above two sets go really well with the OGXBOX theme available from the XBMC4Gamers downloader. Here's a quick peek at how it all looks. XMBC4Gamers Custom Art Download Here Open to requests for any art you might be missing from your setup if it is not already in the official Art Installer. Credit due to @sweetdarkdestiny for art used in a LOT of the App packs and @RoofTop for his pack over at Emuxtras for the Emulator artwork and some of the art used for some Homebrew games/ports. (I presume its the same Rooftop here lol). Also credit goes to @Bomb Bloke for some great work providing me with a great starting point on a few of those homebrew covers. @NokSueCow Has been working on the default.xml files for a lot of homebrew and emulators, making sure they are up to date and correct. I will update the art packs with his files as and when he completes them. The exhibition discs and Xenon Xyanide emu packs are already done. Huge thanks to @Rocky5 for doing all the hard work in creating the Photoshop templates used in creating these _resource packs and for the absolute best modern Xbox dashboard available today, XBMC4Gamers. The next step in my project will be going through all this art and the art in the official installer and adding screenshots and preview videos where missing. I now have a capture setup ready to go
  2. Long awaited update is now here, a lots changed. Grab it from the downloader or my GitHub. Changelog Download prebuilt version
  3. Last couple of months I have tried to update my v1.4x to the latest version using the url downloader. But I've been getting google link errors Is this function not working ? Do i have to install the latest v2xx manually ?
  4. I have been toying with the idea of creating a user guide for XBMC4Gamers now for a little while, however when looking for something today I found this.... A very well written user guide that has 72 pages!!!! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y0WR_WwZOU9m3SWLZ50p4xN5E0fDxmdM/view However, It's a little out of date (looks like its based on a build from 2020). It's made by a user from here called @Cian Cunningham, who visited the site since 2021. Does anyone here know how to contact him outside of the site? I would love to see if he still any of the source files that were used to create the guide as I would really like to update it. I have emailed him on the email address he used to sign up to the site but I have no idea if that email is even active anymore. (I didn't get a bounce back so maybe it is) Hence my question... UPDATE - I have had a reply from Cian and he has given me access to all the files for updating the guide. Yay!! Thanks @Cian Cunningham Next time I have a couple of free hours I will take a look through and see about updating the guide 60262163_XBMC4GamersUserGuideV1.1Master(1).pdf
  5. When I select manual mode in the artwork installer, select the required artwork, then the folder to install to (in my case F:/Games/'gamename'), the artwork always installs to the wrong game folder. As you can see from the examples below. If I install the artwork for 'Richard Burns Rally', it overwrites the 'Re-Volt' artwork. If I install the artwork for 'Run Like Hell', it installs to the 'Richard Burns Rally' folder. It seems to install to the game folder directly prior alphabetically. I've updated to the latest artwork installer and XBMC4Gamers. I've also tried installing artwork via XBMC4Gamers instead of the app, but it does this every time. Any ideas?
  6. I copied one XBOX's completely setup hard drive to a new drive using Fatxplorer, just copied C D E F G across after formatting the new drive with the Cerbios option, I've never encountered a problem doing this before, I've done it a few times now over the past week or two. This time though as it's a 6TB drive I copied the full CCI set across along with a bunch of emulators which previously I'd only had select stuff being 2TB drives. Now however, it boots into XBMC4Gamers fine, then the green spinny boxes come up and just keep on spinning, I've left them for hours and they never seem to stop, reboot and they start again Would I be better off deleting XBMC4Gamers off there and doing a fresh install of it? Is there some cache I should delete? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hey Everyone, I recently setup my OG Xbox 1.0 with Cerbios and added the full game library (CCI) to a 2TB HD. After I had everything up and running I installed the Game Artwork Application. Placed it in e:\apps\ annd ran the default.xbe file. Once the artwork application completed installing all the artwork, I rebooted the Xbox and opened up the games folder to find the original game thumbnails still in place. After deleting the thumbnails, via built in script and enabling the appropriate view option, the game artwork finally showed up. The only issue I’m still experiencing is that the game background display is still being displayed and an grey Xbox remote. I can’t seem to sort out how to get the background to display the appropriate game poster like the image I’ve seen on others XBMC4Gamers setups. What am I missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.
  8. Hello. Im using XBMC4Gamers, my log in screen has a custom background, my profile once loaded has a custom background. However in the time between selecting my profile and my profile fully loading, my background turns to a bright blue. Is there any way to change this? Even if I cant use a custom image is there a way to make it less painful on the eyes? Thanks!
  9. What started as a small project to create Kiosk Demo synopsis, led to updating almost everything I could find for the Xbox. Standalone Arcades and Halo Map Packs from Dominater01's Archive, Emulators from Emuxtras, Homebrew from wherever I could find, Project Deluge prototypes, and CoinOPS/OpenBOR/SORR. The only things I didn't update were Apps and Dominater01's Modded games. I'm burnt out for now and need a break, and my 365 trial expired, so no more Excel. I sent out pm's to every developer I could find asking for info on every item, some didn't respond, so if something is wrong, you'll have to update it manually in Notepad++. I'm sure I didn't get everything right, as a lot of info just couldn't be found easily, most notably Single-player or Multiplayer, 720p support, Online Play, etc. If a game didn't specify these, I put Single-player, and left the other features empty. I ran Rocky's scripts to extract every xbe's info, TitleID, SourceName, FolderName, and input what it gave. If it looks funny, that's just how it is, specifically japanese titles. If the xbe didn't have a SourceName, I used the title of the game. I started out creating Override_TitleID's for the homebrew, but that's just too monotonous. Ain't nobody got time for that, I've got bronchitis. If I ever go back and work on these, I may get to them then. But if you have trouble with something in the artwork installer, the TitleID is probably 00000000, or a match to another game. Just grab one of my Overrides from a homebrew game, change it from Override_TitleID.bin to Override_TitleID.txt. Create an 8 digit ID for your game, save, change back to bin, and install. I'd like to thank @Cian Cunningham for his awesome Spreadsheet, without his formulas I wouldn't have got nearly this far, and Rocky's artwork scripts, which saved a lot of time. Big thanks to @Rocky5 and @nikeymikey for explaining how to use Rocky's scripts in Photoshop also. I also used a few thumbnails for Root Sources, by @RoofTop , Emulators and Homebrew, resizing them a bit so they load faster. The Arcade, CoinOPS, and OpenBOR Root Source thumbnails are from Destronger's emuxtras repo, as is the xMugen set. I just added the Xbox banners and resized to load faster. The art that I somewhat created is Metroid Ninja, Premium Castlevania, the random Deluge protos and its source thumbnail, and the Halo map pack thumbnail. I used Rocky's generic controller resource sets for most everything, so they looked tidy. If something has a screenshot or a video preview, it's from that actual game, not a placeholder. I've also installed generic Halo CE/2 artwork for the map packs, and BOR art for those as well. Everything has some kind of art included, so it's not just an empty looking xbe file. This mostly came from Rockys artwork installer, I just installed it to save you time mindlessly copy/pasting. Be sure to keep an eye out for nikeymikeys XBMC4Gamers resource thread on here for better art that I can provide. There should be original Release Dates for everything in my packs, as the spreadsheet has them completed, but I don't see a way to enable them, unfortunately. I spent a lot of time finding that info. Hopefully, this can rejuvenate interest in the scene, once people start reading the descriptions and realizing there are some cool games out there in the homebrew scene. You don't need any of these games installed to use the resource sets, just ftp the folders, takes about 30 minutes, then press White, Add Source, scan the folders in, and have a look around. You may find something that sounds interesting, and go download it to try it out, who knows. I tried to put the most important info of the descriptions at the top of each game as it scrolls, and the changelogs, updates, etc, are at the bottom. If something doesn't have a description, it didn't include a readme.txt file, or I couldn't find info related to it online. I spent time on every single game, without over doing it, so it should be easy to read. Don't forget to Press Y in XBMC4Gamers' dash, to view the enhanced synopsis info, and press DPAD Right, to tab over to the Screenshots and Video Preview, if available. Rocky says not a lot of people even know this exists, hopefully I can get others to give it a chance. Just make sure to not have a music playlist going in the background, or it will run out of RAM on a stock Xbox. LT/RT super scrolls also, very handy. I don't know what the View Type is called in dash, but in XBMC4Gamers v2.1.001, it's at the very top, 3rd one right. There are only 2 that are darkly shaded, this one scrolls horizontally. I think it's the best experience, myself. Here's the link. Have Fun! And keep an eye on nikey's thread for future artwork. -Nok
  10. After updating xbmc4gamers today to the latest version, the background in my level 1 menu ist gone e.g. games, emulators, apps etc. They have always been working for years before the update. I tried refreshing but that didn't help. Backgrounds are placed in that special folder in the xbmc4gamers Install, can't recall the full path from the top of my head. Has anything changed during the update pathwise?
  11. It appears there might be an SSD degradation issue affecting SSD setups on XBMC4Gamers, possibly related to the underlying Xbox system. I've tested multiple Samsung SSDs, including the 4TB EVO variants, using the StarTech adapter and a proper IDE cable. Initially, everything runs smoothly with near-instant boot times. However, over time, the boot time increases to about 15 seconds (notably with a blinking green light at the Cerbios logo), affecting all drive operations proportionately. This isn't a major issue and most users may not even notice, as the drive still performs relatively fast. My speculation is that something could be actively writing to the drive or that background operations occur during some power cycles. On one occasion, selecting Shutdown from the XBMC4Gamers menu caused the system to freeze with a faint buzzing sound, and the slowdown began on the next reboot. I'm unsure if there's a definitive solution to this issue besides wiping the drive and making a clean install. As a precautionary measure, I'm contemplating reverting to a spinning disk. I'm concerned that SSD degradation may worsen over time or potentially lead to complete setup corruption. I'm curious if others have encountered this issue and found any workarounds. It appears to be a common challenge when using a modern drive on older hardware that lacks SSD support functionalities.
  12. Okay, firstly this is not a problem with Rocky's code per se, it's a problem with the XBMC code going back 18 years when the issue first appeared. I did flag it at the time and a few other softmod users on the forums (XBMC and Xbox-scene) did too. Full debug logs were provided but Gemini's dev Xbox was messed up after a RAM replacement so he couldn't test it. I ended up fixing it myself and did so into 2010 until I switched fully over to Xbox 360 and PS3. I've only recently started using my Xbox again to discover the bug still exists in new XBMC iterations. This bug only affects softmods patching kernels from the Conexant and Focus video encoder machines. So if you have a 1.6 (Xcalibur encoder) this won't affect you as Rocky has added some code which makes v1.6's work perfect with Cherry's eeprom-safe video-mode patch code on a softmodded 1.6 (it never used to). The code for the pre v1.6 kernels seems to screw up after a soft reboot. Also the bug doesn't affect using BFM bioses on a softmod, or if you compiled NKPatcher to do a 'full reboot' rather than a 'reboot to dash'. Here's how to reproduce the bug: Make sure sure you have enabled 'Enable video mode switching' in the XBMC4Gamers menu as we're going to boot at 50hz only game on an NTSC machine (or PAL machine set to NTSC) and vice versa ( a PAL machine booting an NTSC game), then repeat the boot process. Leave the 'For 60hz games' setting to 'Use NTSC-M & NTSC-J'. On an NTSC machine navigate to a 50hz only game (like Sensible Soccer 2006, SCAR or one of those Club Football games) and press 'white'. Make sure it it says 'Launch PAL' (if not select 'Launch in..', then select PAL). The game will launch fine in 576i. Now do an IGR back to dash. Now try to launch the game again (or any other 50hz only game). (constantly looping) The current ways to negate this are: After you've run one PAL 50hz game (or pure NTSC game for PAL users) and rebooted back to dash, do a 'Reboot' from the XBMC4Gamers options menu (black button). Now the game will work fine. Another way is to recompile your NKPatcher like so: %define IGR ; %define IGR_TO_DASHBOARD %define IGR_FULL_REBOOT ; %define IGR_MASTER_PORT 0 Bear in mind this will auto detach any ISO you may have mounted when you do an In-Game-reset, so you won't be able to browse any mounted virtual discs. Also, this method means each IGR does a full reboot, so it will take longer to get back into XBMC4Gamers. Or you can use the linked xbe which fixes these issues on pre v1.6 kernels. I modified and compiled from Rocky's latest sources for his v2.0.004 release. Just overwrite the 'default.xbe' in the XBMC4Gamers folder and power cycle your Xbox (you need to power cycle as XBMC caches itself to a virtual drive). XBMC4Gamers 2.0.004 default.xbe fix
  13. Anyone out there have any links to guides, tools, tips...anything on how to create a theme for XBMC4Gamers? The ones on the downloader are great but I'd love to have a go a creating something myself.
  14. hi does any one maybe @Rocky5 have the direct gdrive link to his trainers? my xbox has no way of being online and i would like to ftp the trainers to my xbox i do have an ethernet cord but the og is far away from the router (PS you cann dm me that link if you don't feel like putting it out on the forum as I'm sure i'm not breaking forum rules)
  15. Hi all, I'm hoping there's a reasonably simple way to add CoinOPS launch icon alongside the Applications, Games, Emulators folders/icons on the Root of the dashboard? I've tried adding the source to have the CoinOPS icon (folder) appear on Root, next to the Applications, Games and Emulators icons. Then within the CoinOPS folder I created a shortcut .xbe within its own folder that points to the defaultsplash.xbe used by CoinOPS, this does point to and loads CoinOPS from its actual location but is a bit messy imo. I also don't know how to create an icon picture for this, within Xbe Shortcut Maker 2.0, it asks for Custom Icon (.xbx), I've tried googling where to go from here but can't find anything relevant to help. I've found some .xbx files and tried using them but nothing shows for the icon, also tried small .jpg files etc. I also tried copying your _resources folder for CoinOPS 8 from the Artwork Installer to this folder which does show the artwork, but also when accessing this folder from the dash root it shows the "_resources" folder as an option to open which I ideally want to be hidden. There must be a better way to create this icon within XBMC4Gamers? How have you all got this simplified to just work? Hope you don't mind tagging you @Rocky5 ? I'm sure the question has come up before and you'd know if there's an easy way to add a shortcut without much mess
  16. Hi, I've just installed XBMC4GAMERS and updated it. I've tried downloading a few applications using the downloader feature on the dashboard, but when i go to open the "Applications" option on the dashboard home screen, i get an error saying "Remote Share: Path not found or invalid". I have saved the application folders to E:/XBMC4Gamers/Apps Does anybody have any idea what I could be doing wrong?
  17. Hi guys I'm running XBMC4Gamers which is great btw but I wanted to know if you could use my own game images where needed. Basically I've got a game backup "Big Ass Emulator Disc" that shows up as Crimson Skies in the games list. I wanted to correct this image. I've searched the artwork downloader for the correct image I want but with no joy. I was going to make my own and add it myself if I could. Am I able to do this easily ? Do I just save the new image in the relevant folder on the HDD via an ftp client once created. If so, Is there a particular file format to use when creating them and is there also a min/max image pixel size that I would have to be aware of. That is unless someone can point me in the right direction of the correct image already available. Thank you
  18. I have a hardmodded Xbox 1.4 with an openXenium chip and Cerbios UDMA6. I store all my games on my hdd as extracted ISO's. Jade Empire will not launch/load from XBMC4Gamers. I have a hard drive activity light and when I launch the game it flashes like normal and then just stops and the screen is black. I have tried fTP'ing a new game folder over and deleting all the data from the game off the hdd. I can only get it to launch from the UIX dashboard. Any ideas?
  19. Hey everyone! Figured I'd share a replacement for the XBMC4Gamers start-up screen I made. I love the dashboard but didn't feel it fit with the Xbox's design language. I've found that if you're running the 'night' theme like me, you'll need to find and replace the "night.png" image at C:\skins\Profile Skin\extras\themes\splashes\night.png, this took me forever to find lol. Enjoy!
  20. Hi all, Bit of advice please. I'm running XBMC4Gamers and I had to copy over my games again to my F drive after previously getting the artwork working as some games were corrupted when they were copied over, but now I can't get any art work or synopsis to show apart from the default thumbnail for each game. Resources is enabled, and trying to re-run the artwork installer doesn't do anything. Any ideas? Games launch fine. Edit: I have the games in alphabetical folders this time, so added custom paths in the artwork installer and it's installing artwork now.
  21. Not sure if its on my end, or what to do about it, and can't find anything about this specifically through search so making a post here. I'm trying to update to 2.x.003 from 001, and the first time it went to 17% and stopped. This second time its at 37% and now stopped. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Got it! Just had to keep trying over and over, but eventually it got it downloaded!
  22. I've been in the process of preserving my entire DVD movie collection in ISO format. Coincidentally, I stopped growing my collection about the same time the OG Xbox reached the end of its lifecycle - circa 2006. I realize this approach probably isn't going to be for everybody, as many have moved on to MKVs and Plex, etc. For me, however.. I'm still chasing that vision I had almost 20 years ago, of having all those movies accessible from a beautiful carousel menu, complete with artwork and synopsis - exactly like we have our games in XBMC4Gamers today! I'm able to play these movies perfectly from the File Manager already, but I need help understanding how to make them show up in XBMC4Gamers menu, just like if they were game discs. I think I need to create custom XBEs that link to the DVDs main IFO? Maybe there is even a script I can tweak to automate the process? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm hoping to leverage some of the current Kodi scripts to help pull in all the artwork and other data. In case that doesn't work out, I'm prepared to do it all by hand. If anyone is already working on something similar and would like to collaborate, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be doing about 800 movies myself, and I'm happy to share a complete pack with all the artwork and everything when it's done.
  23. n an effort to clear all my played counters, I deleted file /Q/system/UserData/Profiles/<Profile Name>/Database/MyPrograms6.db On backing out of file manager to the home screen XBMC scanned all my items again and eventually everything was showing zero play with no recents on my home screen. All was good until I had to go into an emulator for something and when I deleted the same file again I decided to reboot the system this time so XBMC would do a rebuild on boot up, but instead the home screen fails to load and displays an error - Script failed! : Home Screen Items.py. . Is there a way for me to repair my XBMC4Gamers dash?
  24. Hello all !!! This is a new version of my resources pack for XBMC4Gamers (https://mega.nz/#F!5wUBQZSa!44MF7TL02pTjOsHEdTCrtg 12Gb on Mega). It was based on Wikipedia for list of XBox titles, completed with Modded / Unreleased / Ripped games (1106 games !!!) It's easy-to-use : download "Resources4XBMC v1.0", extract it and view the full list of HDD ready files then transfer as needed ! This pack contains few covers, banners, icons, cd, fanarts, previews and synopsis (thanks Cian Cunningham for his work) . I think it the most complete pack you can find and it works with all XBMC 3.5.3 or above once Rocky5's custom version (XBMC4Gamers and XBMC4Kids). What's new in this version : - Added more covers, fanarts, previews... - Better quality for covers, fanarts and preview ; - Add synopsis by Cian Cunninghan ; - Separates folders for modded, ripped, retail and unreleased games ; - And many some little things :) Many thanks to Rocky5 for his programs and Cian Cunningham for his work. Any issues anyone finds I can fix and update accordingly when I have time. I hope this enhances your XBMC4Gamers setup.
  25. I'm wondering if others are having the same issue and if they've managed to fix it, I updated to v2.0 via the downloader and now fanart is not showing up no matter the view/resources settings. Edit: Tried a fresh install and still have the problem
