  1. I have a 1.0 Xbox I got from Goodwill online. It smells like a smoker crawled inside it and died, and I ended up accidentally tearing off the alt d0 pad , but got someone to repair it. However, it still does not boot, as it FRAGs instead. Can't figure out what is wrong - tons of pictures attached below. Things I've tried: Known-good PSU Booting WITH modchip + grounded d0 Booting without modchip or grounded D0 Swapping capacitors with good capacitors from a 1.1 Swapping the TSOP for one from a 1.1 Cleaning the board with IPA (multiple times) If any closer pictures are needed of any part, tell me.
  2. I just installed the Evo X dashboard on an original v1.0 and everything is fine except the CPU reports a temp of just 2C and never warms up past 5C. I recapped the board (well the 1500u and 3300u caps), new clock cap and applied new thermal compound. I know the ADM1032 chip plays a roll in the temp management but there is no sign of any electrolyte by it and the GPU and HDD reports are normal. Is there a temp sensor by the Intel CPU that I may have knocked or is the temp sensor built into the CPU? Any thoughts??? Thanks.
  3. Hello everyone! This is my first post, so apologies if it’s formatted incorrectly. I’m currently having a tough time trying to diagnose what could be causing my Xbox to output a wobbly video signal as seen here. I’ve tried -swapping power supplies -replacing the 5 caps near the cpu -giving the board and console a deep clean I’m thinking maybe it’s a grounding issue? Or perhaps the video encoding chip is about to die? Honestly I’m at a loss. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you guys.
