About Me

  1. Flashing a Sharp TSOP - Everything you need to know to flash a Sharp TSOP Xbox. There are a bunch of tutorials out there explaining how to flash TSOP, but not much info on flashing a *Sharp* TSOP. Because of this I feel it is my duty to write down my experience flashing my Sharp TSOP Xbox. The Sharp TSOP is not easy. It requires more soldering, more software, and more steps. Hopefully, this tutorial will make it a bit easier for you. THIS TUTORIAL ONLY COVERS SHARP TSOP! If your chip says 'ST', that does NOT mean "Sharp Technologies". If your chip does not have the SHARP logo on it, don't follow this tutorial. OK. BEFORE YOU CONTINUE, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALREADY SOFTMODDED YOUR XBOX! The Xbox is easy enough to softmod. Softmodding is not covered here. You should also be familiar with FTPing files to and from the Xbox, burning Xbox DVDs. These topics are not covered here. Step 1 - Figure out what version Xbox you have. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I found my serial number on the bottom of the case and looked it up online. It appeared to be a v1.1. This was good news since the v1.6 cannot be TSOPed. If you have a 1.6, stop now. Step 2 - Open it up and see what TSOP chip you have. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I opened up my Xbox and discovered I had a 1MB TSOP chip. Good news again, I think. 1MB sounds better than 256KB, right? But it was also a Sharp LH28F008SCT-L85 chip. Sharp TSOPs are the most difficult chips to flash. That's not good news. But it can be flashed. Step 3 - Start downloading your software. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download the following Xbox tools: Hacky Rehash EurAsia Hexen Shambles Edit 2017 Step 4 - Take your motherboard out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carefully disconnect all the cables and remove the eleven screws holding the mobo down. The power connector was the hardest one for me. Apparently, you need three hands to do it. I used a Starbucks card to shove down into the molex connector to free the clips. Even then, it was a pain to remove. Step 5 - Soldering. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am not gonna lie. The soldering is not easy at all. It's not for the faint of heart. It's the tiniest soldering I have ever done. I've soldered on old Atari 2600's, TI99-4/A computers, and modchipped Gamecubes. The Gamecube was by far the smallest soldering I had ever done, and prepared me for this task. Get yourself comfortable doing small soldering before proceeding. I am no pro, but I have some experience and I have accumulated some gear that I would consider essential in getting this soldering done. You will need the following: A magnifier. Mine is a visor type magnifier that I got on Ebay for around $15. 30 AWG jumper wire, and a suitable wire stripper. A small 1" scrap of stranded wire. The finest tip you can buy for your soldering iron. It will also be helpful to have some electrical tape, some flux, some small tweezers, very small cutters, very small needle nose pliers, a small vice or helping hands, some experience doing small soldering, and a very steady hand. 1. Solder the jumper wire on the bottom side of the mobo. Add some solder to the via and the pad. Don't hold the iron too long on the pad or it will come off. For the wire, I used 30 AWG jumper wire. Cut it to length, tin it, and tape it to the mobo in position. Use tweezers to hold it while you solder it down. 2. For the solder bridge, pull out a single strand from a stranded wire, get about an inch. Add solder to the pads. Tin the wire. Hold it with tweezers and heat it while you press it down into the melted solder. Once it's dry, snip off the excess wire. 3. Solder about 8" length of jumper wire to the pads on the top side of the mobo, but don't connect them. This is so that you can put the Xbox back together and join the wires after it boots. NOTE - If you boot up your Xbox with the wires connected (or jumped), it will just give you a black screen. You must boot up with the wires disconnected, then connect them after the Xbox has booted. It might be helpful to solder jumper pins on the ends so you can just place a jumper instead of twisting the wires together. 4. Inspect your soldering closely. Gently tug on the wires. Take high res photos of it and inspect the photos on the computer. Tape the wire to the mobo so it doesn't come loose. Once you are happy, put your Xbox back together. Just use one screw for the mobo. Don't plug power all the way in, just make it snug without clipping it down. Leave the two wires hanging out of the case. Leave the top lid off too. You won't need it until you are done. Step 6 - The software tools. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To flash your TSOP, you will need a bios file, and a tool to flash that bios file. 1. Bios file - It was recommended to me that I use the x2.5035.137.bin. This is a 1MB bios file that supports large hdds. I found this bios file (and a bunch of others) on the Hacky Rehash bios flashing disc. You can browse the disc on the Xbox or launch the disc and select "Copy BIOSes to E drive" and then FTP the bios file to your PC. Hexen also has some BIOS files. 2. Flash tool - For Sharp, it erases using a "Winbond" method which is block erase. That also suggests it will be using Raincoat to do the actual flashing. Raincoat is the tool that is used on EurAsia, and Hacky has the EurAsia tool on it. NOTE - It is not enough to just get the Hacky disc. You'll also want to get the EurAsia disc so you can make your bios disc. 3. Make the bios disc. In the EurAsia zip file, there is a folder called bios_disc. Copy that folder and name it something like My_Sharp_bios_disc. Next, copy your bios file (for me, it was x2.5035.137.bin) into the folder, then rename it to bios.bin. Next, you will want to edit the bios.txt file in that directory. I made mine say this: EurAsia TSOP bios disc This flash disc is for a Sharp TSOP. The bios.bin file is: x2.5035.137.bin Now, burn those files to a DVD using the ISO 9660 standard. Now you have your bios disc. NOTE - There is a README file in the EurAsia zip. You should read it too. It was gobbledeegook the first time I read it, but after a few failures, it all made sense. Step 7 - Time to do some flashing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Power on your Xbox using the small button. Let it boot up, then connect the wires (or attach the jumper). Put the Hacky disc in, then launch the disc. In the Hacky's menu, select "Winbond" (not "1mb flash"). It will tell you to have your bios disc ready. At this point, just follow the directions. Don't lose power during the flashing or you will probably be bricked. Flashing will take approximately two minutes. Not more than five. It should first erase, then program, then verify. When it is done, it will eject the disc tray. Remove the disc and left it shutdown. EurAsia gets launched. I burned the bios disc improperly the first time and Eurasia rejected it. But Eurasia waited for me. It just kept looking for a disc and then ejecting the tray while I was busy burning a new bios disc. When I had a good bios disc burned, I waited for the tray to eject and then placed the disc in there and waited again for it to close. You can see the text from my bios.txt file here: Erasing, Programming, Verifying... When it boots back up, you should see the new boot animation. Congrats! You are now TSOP'ed! Xecuter logo in place of the Microsoft logo confirms it is booting your modded bios.
  2. So, I got a modded Xbox off of a friend a few years back. It's been collecting dust on a shelf while i was modding 360s and messing with other things. Some console info: Motherboard Revision: 1.0 Kernel Version: 1.0.3944.1 TSOP Chip: ST-M29F080A In January i decided to play around with it and upgraded its mod with Rocky5s Softmodding Tool, although i had to use the Hardmod method show in MrMario2011s guide. I decided I want to hardmod the system and TSOP Flash rather than run the softmod. While digging through the file explorer on XBMC i found evidence of SmartXX which a google search turned up a modchip. So, I took to r/originalxbox and thanks to the help of @KaosEngineerfound that it must be a softmodded system and I'm good to flash the TSOP. I went on to download and burn a DVD-R with Bios Checker and burned another with the .iso file found in the download of "OGXbox Cerbios Disc v2.3.2". I bridged the R7D3 points on the top of the board and the R7R3 points on the back of the board, reassembled and popped on bios checker to get the info. I then popped in the OGXbox Cerbios v2.3.2. Once the disc launched, I read through the "Read Me" files on my PC and on the disc. After reading, I selected the following options: "Cerbios Disc - Static IP & No BFM Mode" --> "Flash Cerbios with XBlastOS" --> "Flash Cerbios UDMA2" --> "Flash Cerbios UDMA2 256KB" Once in XBlastOS I chose "Boot Onboard Bios". No dice... So, I copied/unpacked a clean .ini to my C partition, ran through the steps again and got to XBlastOS. This time I went to settings and saw Flash options. I selected: "HDD Flash" which gave me "C:\BIOS does not exist.' So, I tried: "CD Flash" which gave me "insert a disc with an img.bin file." I can't figure what step I'm missing or what I'm doing wrong here. Am I supposed to burn both the .ISO and .RAR files to the DVD-R rather than only the .ISO? OR am I missing something else entirely? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi everyone, new to the scene and the OG Xbox in general (had a 360 and One for many years). Bought an OG Xbox a few years ago for cheap to play some og Xbox exclusive games that are either not backwards compatible or are buggy on the 360's software emulation. I got as far as softmodding it to Rocky's v1.1.6 (this was in end of 2019 when I did this). Then I burnt the extras disc and my Xbox wouldn't read it. Then left the Xbox as is and did some other hobbies and life happened and put the Xbox in a closet for four years. Recently pulled it out and want to continue where I left off. My main goal is to upgrade the HDD to copy my games to the hard drive and play off it. To do this I need the extras disc to get Chimp onto my xbox. My Samsung drive, while sometimes is reluctant to eject the disc unless there is a disc inside, reads the games just fine. However when I burn the extras disc using Img burn (4x speed is the lowest I can go), using either the iso from Rocky's GitHub or the "Build XISO"bat file, nothing seems to work. So discs I tried where Staples CD-RW and Staples DVD-RW. Both of these where pretty scratches. So then I tried three times with Verbatim CD-Rs, flawless discs brand new no scratches, the Xbox still will not read the disc. Again, it's the Samsung Drive so it should be able to read CD-R. My next step is to buy a Verbatim DVD-R, Staples has a pack of 5 for $5.99. If that doesn't work the only way to do it would be I guess to FTP. Was wondering if a USB would work as well. Lost the generic 4gb 2.0.usb I used four years ago to softmod but ordered another one from eBay should arrive within a couple of weeks. But why is the extras disc giving me so much trouble? Can anyone chime in what I could be doing wrong? I also forgot to mention, I have a 1.6 Xbox produced in May 2005, TSOP is not an option, and I am not confident in my soldering abilities to install a mod chip hence the softmod.
  4. First say hello to the members! After years i found my xbox again . I have a 1.0 with a xecuter 1 modchip and i replaced the dvd drive to a Samsungs SD 616. I thought i would be nice to have a modifed box with more than my 80GB HDD. So tried my best. I solderd out the old modchip, replaced it with a cheap aladdin from aliexpress an removed the capacitor for the clock. Now i have the problems. I got an error 16 when i started up the box. No EvoX logo is shown on the screen. No DVD like OGXbox Installer ist working so far. The led on the modchip ist red when turned on. I tried this with the old cable and old hdd. I think the modchip is not working. What are the possible problems? Did I some mistakes with soldering? Is the modchip garbage? Should i flash the chip out of the modchip. If this is correct. Witch cheap programmer should i use. Thanks for your help!. eisbier
  5. Hello! For those people with a Xenium modchip, I have made an open source recreation of a legacy adaptor that allowed you to use extremely common and cheap HD44780 compliant character LCD displays with the Xenium modchip SPI interface. The legacy adaptor was called 'SPI2PAR' and has long since been out of production and extremely hard to come by. The old website actually still works for now (http://cheaplpc.com/xenlcd/) if you want to see what it was all about. This design and info is all on my github page https://github.com/Ryzee119/spi2par2019 It does everything the old one does I believe (although I never had one), but it also can read the Xbox SMBus directly with a couple extra wires to the LPC header for temperatures from the ADM1032 onboard temperature chip and fan speed which are displayed and updated on the LCD mid-game. It can also read the Conexant and Focus video chips to work out was resolution your game is running at which is displayed on the LCD aswell. (This doesnt work on a 1.6 though due to the Xcalibur chip) XBMC can already display these, but these extra SMBus features will only apply when you're in a game or program that doesn't normally support LCD. Works best on a 20x4 character display.
  6. This guide and pictures taken from: http://www.biline.ca/xbox_solder.htm TSOP Flashing Unlock points if you are unsure which Xbox version you have click Here TSOP unlock points for version 1.0/1.1 Xbox This is the top of the motherboard Connect the two solder pads at R7D3 as in photo above. This is the bottom side of motherboard Connect the two solder pads at R7R3 as in photo above. All Ver 1.0/1.1 Xbox's with a 'SHARP' TSOP chip must also connect the additional red wire as in the photo above. All other TSOP's DO NOT require this step. TSOP Unlock points for all Versions 1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5/ Xbox's This is the top side of the motherboard These Xbox's have both points located on the top of the motherboard, for the first point connect the two solder pads at R7D10 as in photo above. For the second point locate the junction between R7D2 and R7D1 and connect the two solder pads as in the photo above. After the solder points are completed you should re-assemble your xbox (but leave the top cover off) when the power button is pressed it should boot normally as it did before you started. Note if you get the message TSOP write protected while attempting to Flash the TSOP you might need to check and resolder the points to ensure a good connection was m while attempting to Flash the TSOP you might need to check and resolder the points to ensure a good connection was made. To split Split a 1MB TSOP (v1.0, v1.1) into 4 banks of 256k, the following picture explains how to accomplish this: Note: If you have a 1.6/1.6b Xbox, it has no TSOP and therefore you cannot flash it. You will have to install a modchip or softmod.

  12. Hello, I have had a1.4 xbox with a duox modchip (v1) and I'm a little confused about how I can flash it. I bought this xbox pre chipped 15+ years ago and I've never touched anything past keeping exox dashboard updated. I took it out of storage after a good few years, I would guess I've not used it bar the odd nostalgic game session (It's part of a setup in my living room with an OG xbox a 360 and a series x on shelves) in around 10 years so I have no idea what the latest best things are. Also the xbox came with an 80GB hard drive installed. I have purchased a xbox-HDMI adapter (powered by usb) because my TV has 3 hdmi ports and that's it. literally nothing else. This works. I have an issue with my dvd drive in that the band need replacing, can't get more for a another 2 weeks. In the meantime is it possible to flash the chip without a disc? some places seem to say I must have a dvd and others allude to not needing a disk. I've been researching this for hours and just decided to ask on here. it works ok but I didn't flash the bios so I have never done it before. I was looking at increasing the capacity further but may need a bios flash. in avox settings the BIOS is unknown. So in short, what is the "goto" Bios and dashboard nowadays? Is it possible to do without a DVD drive? Could I do it by stripping the xbox DVD drive putting a disk in and reassemble? If I desperately need to? Bit drastic but I can't do anything for a few weeks. A bit of a bonus question. I had a game of FIFA 2003 last night and it played strange. Like it was sped up. Best description is like an emulator running at 1.5-2x speed. Some games don't boot. I don't know where to start with testing it. If anyone has an idea I'd appreciate it. EDIT: So I've backed up using evox. FTPd it to my PC. I noticed a bios folder. It has 3 files "EvolutionX M7 Bios.nfo" "EvoxM7_ef.bin" and "EvoxM7.bin" I can guess which previous version was. Can I just replace them and flash latest bios from evox launcher then?
  13. OGXBox XBlastOS MC/USB TSOP Flasher Created by Sweetdarkdestiny There is no need to softmod your xbox before TSOP flashing. This tool created by Sweetdarkdestiny makes it very simple to flash your TSOP with nothing but a stock console and a USB drive. But really, as long as you are able to launch the MS bios from your TSOP, even with a chip (disabled, of course), this tool can do it for you. The readme "How to run the exploit save" contains information on which games are exploitable and will tell you which folder to use for the game you want to use. I have used this thing multiple times and it is quite idiot proof. Please read the "Read ME" to understand more about how to run the exploit. For the record, I use splinter cell because it's pretty straightforward and works every time. This is the way I personally use it: I place the 21585554 folder and the game save folder I need on the USB drive. I then drag over the bios I would like to use to the flash drive. As long as you remember where you put it, that's all that matters. I plug in the flash drive and boot to the MS Dashboard. I copy both save files (the installer application and the exploitable game save) over to the HDD using the game save manager in the MS Dashboard. I then restart the console. I load the game and follow the instructions for that particular game. Once the exploit loads and I am in the tool's menu, I use the live file browser to copy the bios I placed on the flash drive over to C:/Bios/. I can then be assured that I know exactly what bios I am flashing and as newer versions of Cerbios come out, this is the simplest way to go about it for me. You can also name the bios files anything you want so that you know what they are when in XBlast. Once the bios is in the Bios folder on C, I navigate through the menu to "Launch Pure XBlast." (I'll post more specific navigation instructions when I get home.) This launches the standalone, unscripted version of XBlastOS. I just go into the flashing tools section, find the bios file I want to flash which is already freshly copied over to C:/bios/ and let XBlast do its thing! Simple, painless and awesome. There are also many automated/scripted procedures for this tool and many bioses to choose from, if you need something other than the newest version of Cerbios. There are lots of ways it can be used. I am posting the 32MB version, since it is the most comprehensive and useful. The 8MB version is available in the fichier folder that Sweet posted. DarkDestiny, Thank you very much for creating this tool and for sharing it with the community. Your work is very thorough and powerful and I use it with lots of projects of mine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fichier Folder : https://1fichier.com/dir/oXIMz61T Mega Mirror: https://mega.nz/file/ZjF3EarT#qRyBz7AOIDMO77wbPrXiyj43nwBQYKMZKyvue-1tAMw --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is also an XBlast-only version which utilizes the same exploit. You will immediately boot to xblast and you can HTTP flash from your PC, which is also a quick way of doing things! https://mega.nz/file/FqVjHIhD#MKTgY-fJMfEUuv3jmrBmvMbCYRCdGqHehrQq-YweMVg https://www.xbox-scene.info/forums/topic/379-xblastos-4-game-exploids/#comment-696 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am only able to offer help with using the tool. If you have technical questions, or need support, DarkDestiny can be best reached on Xbox-Scene. It is his software and he will be able to answer any questions you have. I will still try to help anybody as much as I possibly can! DarkDestiny's Xbox-Scene thread: https://www.xbox-scene.info/forums/topic/397-ogxbox-xblastos-mcusb-tsop-flasher/#comment-720
  14. Hi to everyone. I have my original Xbox since when i was a kid and i remember of having it modified after some time. Some years ago i have removed the clock capacitor to preserve it, but recently i decided to change the hard drive and i discovered that i have several other bulged capacitors. For this reason, i want to recap the whole motherboard but then i discovered that the modchip is glued right under some of these leaking cap. From what i understand this is a very old modchip since it is soldered to a lot of points under the motherboard. What modchip could be ? It has also a switch to turn it off and booting strainght into the original dashboard. I was thinking of removing it to install a better modichip or to do a TSOP flashing. Do you think that i can remove it safely ? Before removing it, is it possible to use it to do a softmod or it is necessary to use a savegame exploit ? Otherwise what modichip could be a suitable choice ? I was interested in the OpenXenium project but these boards are pretty expensive here in Europe. The board should be a 1.4 revision since it has the Focus video chip. Thanks for all the Help.
  15. I have a v1.0 xbox wich was softmodded. I bought it that was. today I wanted to Tsop flash it. I soldered the points they show continuity with the multimeter. I update the softmod with rocky's extras ddisk to a modern softmod. But I want cerbios to be able to play cci games So I took the cerbios installer disk and flashed mij made bios with the cerbiosdisk option softmod. But when I started the flash nothing happened.so went back to the menu and flashed the original bios ....... wrong button so now I am stuk with the original bios again. Not a big deal because I can soft mod t again probably. Tomorrw i receive a copy of splintercell so I will try. But why did it not flash? I probably made a wrong bios? I used a tool for my executer x2 chip and coupled 4 ecrbioses (256 Kb) and created a 1MB biosfile. But may be that is not ok.... Or I have a different kind of tsop chip...... I took a phot could someone please tell me what kind of TSOPO i have? it has a sticker but I do not see the name...... Thanks in advance!
  16. i have a skeleton black that would not boot from the tsop (was never opened so just the tsop went bad). i stuck it in my t48 programmer and it gives me pin detect errors, so i took a tsop off of a parts 1.1 and sure enough it reads without issue, i was comparing the k4034 image on the chip to other 4034 images and it is slightly different, just want to know if it is infact the stock 4034 kernel on the chip or if it is some other bios on it. i've attached the dump from the donor chip [email protected]
  17. Hey guys. So I'm working on a softmod and I wanted to try the dual boot with different dashes, and controlling the boots with eject and power. Any help would be much appreciated.
  18. My 1.2 has had a borked TSOP for the longest time, I've been using an Aladdin XBlast to make up for it but I know someone who could make better use of that modchip while I would rather go back to a flashed TSOP. I know that some chips have features for TSOP recovery such as the XBlast Lite, but I haven't seen any of those for sale in a local capacity. Does anyone know what other options I may have here?
  19. >>> OGXBox 2021 XBlastOS 8MB MC TSOP Flasher <<< I finaly managed to get the (for me) perfect TSOP flasher done. It makes use of the known save game exploids for SC, MA, 007 & TH4 and uses XBlastOS to flash any TSOP right away. As base it will load up UnleashX where you can choose the bios you like to flash (See list below). After you have selected the bios UnleashX will unrar all necessary files and copy them to the needed places and after that XBlastOS will start. Also a pretty bare bone UnleashX will be installed in which you boot after the TSOP flash from which you can launch an installer like the OGXBox Installer 2021 to set up your HDD. So no more softmodding before TSOP'ing or using EvoX, Raincoat or Resctoox to flash a TSOP. All bios files and configs are pre-configured to boot up the evoxdash.xbe of the C drive. Here is a list of provided bioses: XBox v1.0 - 1.1 ONLY! - x2 5035.67 (512kb) XBox v1.0 - 1.3 ONLY ATM! - Cerbios v1.02 ALPHA (256kb) (Will be updated when newer version come out) XBox v1.0 - 1.4 - EvoX m8 plus noDVD (256kb)* - EvoX m8 plus yesDVD (256kb)* - iND 5003.67 (256kb) - iND 5003.67 XISO (256kb) - iND 5004.67 (256kb) - x2 4983.67 (256kb) And since this version is only 6.2MB in size (Incl. all save games!), you could add your own bios files beside the others. 21. Hi, I have a 1.4 revision Xbox which is modchipped with a generic Aladdin XT Plus2, it was modified many years back and was working normally when put away, Now when I turn it on, I get 1 green flash followed by red flashing of the LED. It does not matter the modchip I use which are all Aladdins, and have been proven tested/working in other consoles. The power LED initially flashes green once and then red. No video/audio on TV. I should add, it is only the left half of the LED that is flashing. I suspected it was due to the trace rot repair, but reversing this did not help. It was working normally when put away. The console powers up without even the front panel buttons connected. No solder splashes that I can see. Attempting to reverse the mod entirely (removing D0 point grounding and chip) I get FRAG.
  22. 128MB, Cerbios, 2tb drive based on the origins image with a few extra things. I would like 300.
  23. Reposted with pics on Imgur: https://imgur.com/gallery/rH19myY I need help flashing this corrupt Bios chip on my Og Xbox. Unfortunately this is the only way i can reflash it, as i attempted to flash it but forgot to bridge the points now my Og Xbox only works with a modchip. I got around to picking up a programmer TL866II Plus with Xgpro v11.90 Flasher tool. But i keep getting a pin detect error. I first tried it with a new exact replacement chip using a TSOP 40 adaptor. Then ended up losing that chip. And desoldered the one from the motherboard. I also removed the cold solder from the adaptors and added some fresh new high quality solder with flux to make sure that isn’t the problem. I socketed it into the slot and no luck “Pin detect error”. I then ordered another adaptor this time without a socket and i soldered on the bios chip. I also redid the solder joints, as the ones on that adaptor were dull aswell, and no luck. I picked up the correct or the closest settings on the Xgpro v11.90 software. I tried TSOP 40 Hyundai and Hynix HY29F080 with no luck. It yet again gives me a “Pin detect error”. I even tried auto detect and it says chip not supported. On the chip it says Hyundai HY29F080T-90, but i can’t find that exact model number on the menu. Could that be the issue or is it something else. I have no idea as this is my first time using a programmer. And saw a video or two on how to use it.
  24. I have a console that a softmod was attempted on and for some reason failed. I happened to use the softmod installer included in the @sweetdarkdestiny TSOP tool. However, I have no reason to actually believe that there is any problem with it, since @Mittyoz had the same problem here: And used a different source for the softmod files. I feel that we may have used some odd, unlikely combination of files with the softmod installer or that there may be something up with our consoles in particular. Admittedly, Mitty did attempt to do a softmod and TSOP on top of each other, but his failure happened before he even TSOPd so I don't think it has anything to do with that. I am scratching my head and trying to figure out what this could be. Basically, The console boots and shows the animation. Once the dash is supposed to load, the console boots to a black screen. The Status LED is orange, there is no sound, no discs will boot and I am not entirely sure how to tell if an FTP server is running and to check if any dash is running that way. I have attempted to research the problem, but no threads or reddit posts end up with a solid solution. I think I saw a couple where people just gave up and hardmodded. lol. @Rocky5 If you would be willing to lend your experience and knowledge here, I would very, very much appreciate it. It will help me and others resolve this issue in the future!
  25. Howdy! Long time follower of the forums and this is my first post ever on the site. Finally got me a modded original NTSC Xbox from eBay after years of not owning one. Loving it! Mostly playing Halo2 on XLinkKai. My only issue with it is that who ever modded it and sold it to me on eBay removed the iconic classic flubber intro boot, all it has is just this blame and dull blue Xbox logo during boot and nothing else. Looking to see if there is anyway I can get the flubber screen back? I know it's something to do with the BIOS, just haven't found any leads in what to do and all the information i used to frequent back in the day on isozone is gone and anything I find is obscure with no clear information or instructions and I'm afraid to mess anything up with out some kind guidance on the procedure. I'd really appreciate the help or any kind lead. Thanks in advance!
