  1. Hello everyone, i am new here and looking for some help! after over 15 years (possibly more) i got my old Xbox out of the attic for my children to play with. it has a Xecutor 2.3b Pro modchip, and had the EvoX M7 Bios. i happened to have an old redundant laptop with a 1tb 2.5" Sata drive not being used, so i decided to get the 80 wire cable, IDE to SATA converter and install a larger Hard drive. so last night i did this and discovered i needed to update the Bios to EvoX M8+ in order to see more than 130gb on the F: Drive. so i did this, initially selecting the wrong Bios (i assume!) as on the 'FLASHING BIOS NOW' screen (i used Hexen 2018) it got about 25% of the way through.... then just sat there, after 20 minutes, I decided to had to turn off and it was FRAG! its been YEARS since i used the thing, and after some googled i realised i had the duel bios chip with the Dip Switches, so managed to get it to boot into the backup EvoX M7, this time, flashed again (the duff bank) with 256k EvoX M8+ F&G and everything worked perfectly (950+ GB on F:, way more than i will ever need!) so this morning, I managed to configure the FTP setting with a Crossover cable and transfer a couple of games to the HDD. they seem to run fine, but i have an odd issue: when i use the short cut on the controller (both shoulder buttons, Back + Start) to return to the dash.... the Bios WIPES itself!!! what the heck is going on!? anyone got any ideas? I can flick the Dip Switches and boot back into EvoX M7/Hexen and re-flash but this is a very odd issue! and i cant seem to find any info about it, has anyone experienced this? thanks for your help, much appreciated!
  2. Hi there ! Years ago, I had a Xbox with a modchip without soldering (I can't remember the name ^^) and a bigger hard drive with Evox I think. But I sold this beauty ... After more than 10 years, I recently bought an old original Xbox , I remove the clock capacitor, clean the motherboard and so on. I've read a lot about softmod, tsop flashing and mochips but finally I 've bought an Open Xenium modchip and installed it yesterday (and it's working !). The next steps 'll be to change the hard drive for a ssd (silence !) with a startech adapter. BUT before that I need to understand exactly what I've to do to use the Open Xenium modchip. I would say it's not perfectly clear for me I'm going to create a post with my numerous questions
  3. Hello everyone! Hoping to get a bit of help with two small issues. Using UnleashX with the green block theme, but having the same issues without regard to the skin selected. First is that if I use the two triggers and the far left / far right buttons (back and something else) to return from a game to the main menu, the XBOX crashes with error 07. Power off and power on cycle sets thing right, but strange that it crashes just because I try to go back to the menu from inside a game. Second is that loaded games don't automatically show up in the "XBOX Games" menu. For example, I've burned a disc over to the HDD and also copied one through FTP. In both instances, I had to go into the game through File Explorer, start the .xbe file, and then go back to the menu to see the game in the games list. Any ideas? Thanks everyone! Blaine
  4. So this is my struggle, I bought a japanese Sega Saturn model 2 more than a year ago. The power switch on it came completely destroyed. No refunds for me, because it wasn't the seller fault, etc. After 1 year of procrastinating, I tried to fix my Saturn. And believe it or not, I found the part I was looking for to fix the power switch!! I could not believe it, because I live in Chile, near the south pole, and an old tech geezer had the part I was looking for! I was so happy! I fixed it, so I thought, but I came down with the reality that now the PSU was completely dead. Aesthetically the PSU is perfect!! Nothing blown, nothing cracked, and nothing corroded. I already tried to fix it with the help of a great guy on Reddit, but to no avail. So here it is my idea, could anyone in this wonderful community spare with me a Saturn PSU? A PAL 220v PSU hopefully? I have in my possesion three 220v OG Xbox PSU's and one 110V American OG Xbox PSU. I could give any of those PSU's in return for a PAL Sega Saturn PSU, my PSU's are perfect and all working great! My best regards to everyone! You have always been great to me. Hector Hidalgo.
