  1. Hello. I posted about this a while back on Reddit but eventually I gave up and softmodded instead. However, it's kinda ... what's the word for it... irritating to have a non-working modchip as I want to have a backup plan incase my DVD Drive fails, or the other NTSC Xbox that I unintentionally potentially killed by swapping its 1.6b Board into a translucent 1.4 case and 1.4 power supply (EU 230V)... (yeah not proud of that) comes to life. I have no way of confirming if it still works as I have no step down voltage converter, BUT if it does, it'll have no DVD Drive. The plan is, I want to get this modchip working first, if possible. I've tried resoldering the wires, the modchip itself, and it won't work. No evo logo, nothing. All it does is play original games. Motherboard is a 1.4 according to UnleashX. Here's a picture: https://imgur.com/1MME9Nc Is it dead? I assume it used to work before, as it was installed when I received the console (got it for really cheap, had error 7, swapped dvd drive and it works). Is anything looking out of the ordinary?
  2. I have done several sodtmods using the Rocky5 Method and this one baffles me. Everything installed perfect but backing up the EEPROM could not advance to the next screen. The key was nulled out, ETC. I reran the back up program same thing stuck on the EEPROM back up screen. The board is 1.0 Rev k. Any clues on how to fix this? THX
  3. i did my 1st hard mod on a xbox today. i used an alladin modchip on a v1.4. the modchip wouldn't even go on because a cap was in the way so i heated the solder on the cap and leaned it back until it was hitting the cap behind it. now the modchip will go on but it is rubbing against the cap. i think it will eventually cause a problem. how can i fix this issue?
  4. Hello everyone my name is Jayson. I'm new to this forum and xbox modding. I hope someone can help me. Issue: I have a Original Xbox version 1.6B with aladin modchip. I installed a 500Gb Western Digital Blue sata HDD. I used Hexen 2019 to initialize the new hard drive. But the partition F: only shows 123 Gigabytes. I'm pretty sure that i set all the storage size to partition F:. While on Hexen interface, drive F: is 400+ gb. But when you remove the hexen disk and let it boot to xbox interface. It only shows 123GB. Anybody have an idea what going on? I also tried hexen 2018. But same issue occured. Thanks in advanced.
