  1. I had to do some maintenance on my disk drive, but now my SSD is asking to format and the key is all bugged, is this a problem with my SSD (maybe fake), or does this happen every time you remove the cables IDE? (I'm using SSD on Xbox for the first time)
  2. I bought this at a Goodwill years ago and there's something unusual wrong with it. It doesn't have any scratches or paint chips. Whenever I insert it it says "You need to connect the DVD Playback Kit receiver to a controller port to watch movies. Remove the disc to continue." So I went to my local pawn shop to get the DVD Playback kit. I get a message that says. "This is an Xbox game disc. Please put it in your Xbox to start playing." I'm confused!! How do I fix this?!
  3. Hello, recently soft modded (rocky5) my Xbox, with no problems, upgraded the HDD to 250GB, and swapped the dash location to C:\Dashboard changing the dash to Evox. The issue is - upon boot the flubber animation plays, the Microsoft logo appears at the bottom, and then a black screen for about 10 or so seconds. Was wondering is this a common thing, or if not is there a possible fix ?, maybe such as showing the Xbox logo screen until the dash loads. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. I have the two Virtual Drive Loader folders in their respective spots, C:\ and E:\Apps and I have Dashloader. However, it seems no matter what dashboard I'm loading to (XBMC4Gamers is what I tried initially) I must always launch the PBL App, or go into file manager and run Patcher.XBE... and then after it 'reboots' I can play my ISO games fine. How do I configure my system to automatically boot with the XISO hooks/kernel ready to go from coldboot? I tried copying the contents of Virtual Drive Loader from Apps to something that is highest on the dashloader order like "E:/XBMC-Emustation" so that it will find the default.xbe of Virtual Drive Loader and boot from that first but the console just hangs if I do that. So as of right now while I can play my XISOs off my HDD I must always first boot up, then run the XBE of Virtual Drive Loader or the PBL app. Please help :( Running TSOP'd 1.4 with EvoXM8Plus Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi, I have a hard modded OpenXenium chip with a 1 TB WD Blue HDD. I have everything set up and I am trying to get more than 200 GB - with more than > 200 GB left on a partition. Filezilla is not letting me do that. I am just trying to transfer the titles. They are all HDD ready for transfer but they do not go through at a certain point. They all become failed transfers. The bios I am using is unleashed x from the OGXBOX installer. It was not flashed by the program but was transferred by my network. It is a CEE bios. I switch dashboard sometimes. The only one that I have on there that is not preinstalled is Emulation Station. I had used the DVDmulleter to get the bios necessary. The HDD has been partitioned correctly having being split from F to G the remaining left. I am fairly new to this and any advice to help would be beneficial.
  6. So after 19 years I pulled my v1.0 out blew the dust off of it. Turned it on things were not ok. Long story short clock cap pulled, damaged traces fixed. Fired it up and the Xenium logo comes up , some text in upper left that can’t be read lol then it just sits there and does nothing. Chip led is lit up red, used to be orange. Reset solderless pin mount and double checked D0 everything looks good....but again still stuck at boot up. Could use some input. Thanks in advance for patience as I’m sure this has come up before ..I couldn’t find it.
  7. i pulled my version 1.6 apart about a week ago to change the thermal paste on it. i wasn't able to get the gpu completely clean so i put some new paste on it and reassembled while i waited for my arcti-clean order to get here. the system did great during this time. today, i pulled it apart and cleaned it better this time and reapplied thermal paste. after doing that, i was testing a game(i also serviced the dvd reader) and it froze on me(i thought it was because of the dvd reader). i restarted the console and kept playing. the xbox seemed to do fine for several minutes of playing the game. so i turned my attention to getting the disk tray to function correctly. i was opening it and shutting it multiple times when the system suddenly started glitching graphically. i let it do it for just a few seconds while i wondered what the heck was going on and then i pulled the power cord. when i tried plugging it back in, the xbox started frag'ing. to make a long story short, the point i'm at now is that i can let the system stay unplugged for an hour or so and plug it back in and it will function fine for just a few minutes. after that, it will start graphically glitching or freeze. it will do this with both the dvd/hdd drives installed but also with them both completely removed(including the ide cable). it doesn't appear to be frag'ing anymore and i don't think the processors are getting too hot. none of the caps appear to be bulging. any idea what's wrong with this thing? google is not being very helpful.
  8. I have (purchased from a friend) a x3ce modded Xbox that boots into XBMC and it has a 2tb HDD installed. He has about 330 Xbox games in folders on the G partition, and it's running out of room. I have another 300+ games that I would like to install to F and just wanted to see what needed to be done to get all the games from F and G to show when I click the "Games" tab. Is the a CFG file I need to edit in XMBC or am I stuck with 2 separate sources (Games and Games 2)? I hope I explained that well enough. Thanks in adavance.
