I recently took a non-functional 1.0 board with 128mb of ram to a shop and asked that they move the extra ram to another working 1.0 board. Upon getting the unit back I'm noticing some unique behavior and most importantly that it won't boot. I do have an Xblast Lite chip connected, D0 goes from the point on the back to the correct location on the chip. The chip is installed with a header. When I boot with the chip connected, I get a reboot twice and then the Flashing Red and Green. When I disconnect the chip from the headers I get two reboots and a Red and Orange light. Anything I should have the installer checking out specifically with the above in mind? It looks like they had some pad lifting issues.

Hey Everyone, I used to have the official xbox component cable, but like a fool didn't understand their value until now. I just recently got back into xbox, purchased a system I'm working on repairing and modding, and I was able to locate a advance high definition AV pack with the component connections. just curious, is the breakout box better than the cable? or about they the same? Thanks! ~John

Very new to Xbox modding here, hopefully this isn't too general of a question for this section but I wasn't sure where else to ask it. Are there huge differences between mod chips to have so many different types or do they all essentially do the same thing just with some bells and whistles to set them apart? I just bought an xbox with a chip on it already(I believe it is an xecuter2) but plan on buying more to mod multiple xbox's. I guess I just wanted to know if I can do the same general thing with all chips or if certain chips can only do certain things.

Hi all I have an X3 with the latest BIOS on but it fails to load HDD with XBMC4Gamers. If I take out the HDD and place it in my Xecuter 2.6. It works perfectly fine but in the X3 I get the 06 Error. I have a cheap SATA to PATA/IDE connector on my 1TB HDD, and I realise that many don't like them. I would point out that it is working just fine in the other xbox, however. Any ideas why the X3 is struggling where the X2 isn't?
