  1. Hi guys. I have a Xbox 1.0 with cheapmod (LPC Based SST49LF020) (Bios: Xecuter2 4983.67) and after i won't turn on the console for 1 or 2 days i always end up with Error 07 HDD Timeout. I tried out with 3 HDDs and i always get the same results. The interesting thing is if i unplug the IDE Cable and plug it back it boots without a problem, but after 1-2 days it's starts to act up. Any idea?
  2. Hello all CERBIOS will try and boot from a CD if there is one inserted at boot. This means if it’s a game or music CD then nothing happens! i want to change the bios but I am unsure of what line of text I am supposed to change? firstly I am very impressed with the new CERBIOS update. if you are having any problems currently please update to the latest… I am not very technically minded. When I updated the bios I had to use the actual NEW file that came with the V2.2.0 zip and change the boot directory! It wouldn’t except me just copying the text to the old one! I have a dual bank modchip so on the CERBIOS bank I would like to change the bios file to “NOT TRY TO BOOT FROM CD IF PRESENT” . I am happy to do the button combination at boot using IND_BIOs if I ever wanted to use a HEXEN disk. please can you assist
  3. Hi everyone, I'm struggeling a bit with the softmod setting from OGXbox 2021 Softmode installation on my Box. Softmode installation works like charm. Afterward i used the "install single Dashbord" installer to install XBMC (to e:\xbmc as default) and i agree to use XBMC as my default dashboard. So far so pretty ... after the reboot, XMBC starts, all fine, but ... When i manuelly install xbmc-emustation (from source package) to f:\XBMC-Emustation, my box always boots up from XBMC-Emustation and not from XBMC. Same for XBMC4Gamers (f:\XBMC4Gamers). How can I change ?? Rework with Installer DVD is not working (change default dashboard). What did i miss ?? Thanks !!
  4. OK, I'll try to be thorough here. I have a 1.2 XBox with an X-B.I.T. It had been stored in my loft for over 10 years. When I attempted to use it, the 120GB IDE HDD had failed. I re-installed my original XBox HDD which I must have also modded back in the day, and everything worked fine. I got a replacement 120GB IDE HDD and set it up as new using FATXplorer with the C and E file from the link mentioned at https://www.hazeno.com/guides/fatxplorer-2tb-preload Now, my XBox will happily boot from any disc that I put in the DVD drive, but when I boot to the UnleashX dash and pop a disc in the DVD tray in order to copy it to F:, the tray shows as Empty. It doesn't matter what disc I put in, it always shows as empty. Subsequently, if I launch the MS Dashboard from UnleashX, when the MS Dash loads I get the standard "Your Xbox can't recognize this disc. Make sure it's an Xbox game, DVD movie, or audio CD. Also check to see if the disc is dirty or damaged. Remove the disc to continue." I have iND 5003.67 and evox M8 Plus 137 flashed in the X-B.I.T.
  5. Hi. I have the Xecuter3 mod with firmware version 3294 and a rev1.0 Xbox. I'm trying to install a big HDD (4TB) and have maged to get it recognised by using the Startech IDE to SATA converter. I've got it partitioned and setup successfully (using OGXbox installer tools), but, upon reboot, the HDD light on the front of the xbox (x3 firmware button mod) sticks on and the system doesn't boot to dash. I've tried different HDD's and both 40 / 80 pin cables and no difference. If I just install the 200GB IDE HDD I have, it works fine and boots fast. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? I have the switch on the back set to Cable Select and am currently using the 80 pin IDE cable. I've tried two of those with the same result. Cheers, BigDaddyCainer
  6. It's been a while since I worked on one of these. I did a executer mod years ago, the kids loved it. I later did a soft mod, I really got into it and we accumulated a lot of games. I have been a computer tech for over 30 years so it was a natural fit. I just recently went to throw out the old stuff but just had to plug them in. One came right up, the second one needed a little help but they both work. So now I'm hooked again, with the intent to upgrade the drives and move the DVD's I have onto them. Then who knows maybe I will look at some other emulators. I played with Mame years ago as well as the Wii and the Gameboy. I do wish I had kept some notes though, but I am sure with some of the info here, I will figure it out.
  7. I've installed some aladdin chips and wired them by soldering the "BT" point to the ground pin on the Xbox LPC. I figured that would be the same for the Duox2 lite chip, however I found a couple pictures online showing that the "BT" point on a Duox2 Gs chip (Dual Bank) was soldered to pin No. 9 of the LPC which is 3.3v. I just want to be sure that I'm soldering the "BT" to the right point on the LPC in order for it to always be powered on.
