  1. Darkwatch Launcher What is Darkwatch Launcher? First some background. Darkwatch was released on PS2 and Xbox. The PS2 version has split-screen cooperative campaign. For the Xbox version, they removed split-screen coop in favor of having an Xbox Live mode. Some Russians figured out how to resurrect the coop mode. The discussion can be found here: https://www.emu-land.net/forum/index.php/topic,69320.0.html?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en. The caveat is that the functionality to save/load the coop progress does not exist in the Darkwatch game files. Coop progress is saved (in the RAM) until the system is reset, at which point it restarts at the first level. The solution? Darkwatch has 17 different chapters or levels. By hex editing the default.xbe with a different starting level code, coop progress can be resumed where it was left off. That's where Darkwatch Launcher comes in! I made Darkwatch Launcher with CDX. It gives you the ability to launch Darkwatch with chapter selection for Coop, or you can launch into the original Live-enabled version. So what is Darkwatch Launcher Package? Darkwatch Launcher requires 18 different patched XBE's to function. Darkwatch Launcher Package includes a .BAT script file which generates and patches the 18 different XBE files. It also includes the launcher files and folder structure. NO GAME FILES ARE INCLUDED! You will need to source those yourself. 480p, Widescreen? Darkwatch Launcher Package's patcher script also allows you to patch the game files with a 480p fix and/or widescreen. The 480p fix patch can be found floating around online. The widescreen patches can be found here: http://ps2wide.net/xbox.html. Why? Because I, like many people, search for couch coop games to play with my friends/family. It is scarcely known that Darkwatch can be patched for split-screen coop, and due to the inaccessibility of the patches and the difficulty resuming progress, I believe it is oft ignored. Darkwatch plays like a zombie/vampire western version of Halo. It is worth your time if you are looking for more couch coop FPS experiences. The Xbox version also has advantages over the PS2 version: 480p, widescreen, and in coop, both players play as Jericho, making cutscenes logical. 2. I have a pal og xbox softmodded connected to a xedusa I can not get any game to load in any other resolution but 480i or 576i with both pal and ntsc games through hdmi or component running on the ossc. I would like to get this working any help would be appreciated I tried to enter high def mode no luck
  3. Hey Everyone, I am trying to patch to 480p but the game keeps booting up in 480i. I have an original copy of the game which I ripped to my OG Xbox and plays fine of the HDD. I have a 1.4 Halo TSOP running Evox with UnleashX, HD cables and video settings at 480p and 720p. I replaced the default.xbe with the below patch but is still booted up in 480i. (both hard drive files and burnt to a DVD) https://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?86942 I then tried the Hex edit as mentioned below on post #15 but it sill didn't work https://www.ign.com/boards/threads/darkwatch-doesnt-support-progressive-scan.96422065/ I'm not sure if there is something I am missing, any help would be really appreciated. Thank you
  4. Can anyone tell me if it's possible to configure cerbios to force progressive mode on all games? I downloaded a force480p bios pack a while back and have been using the x3 bios to force progressive mode on all games but I couldn't use that bios for insignia so I flashed cerbios and now games are running in interlaced mode.
  5. Is there a list somewhere of the games that straight up won't run on the 1.6 og xbox models?
  6. Hi, I have an 1.1 og Xbox running on cerbios 2.0.3. I generally extract the isos and process them with dvd2xbox acl, and for most pal games is enough to let them run in NTSC @ 480p but with San Andreas it just returns to the dashboard if not playing in PAL mode. I also tried with the 480p game loader script from xbmc4gamers but it still runs interlaced. What else can I try? Could a force480p bios be of any help? Thanks
  7. There are few games i like to play, but they are 720p compatible. I want to retain dashboard in 720p, but play 720p compatible games in 480p mode. Scarface Crash Nitro Cart Double S.T.E.A.L The Second Clash Evil Dead: Regeneration FIFA 07 Freedom Fighters True Crime: Streets of LA ... Poor framerate and i feel missing some graphics effects in effort to push 720p.
  8. Found agame which has corrupt screen on my 1.6 - Double S.T.E.A.L Is it easy to "patch" to use CDX or other loader , as per Rocky's patches? something I could do myself?
  9. So recently hooked up my old xbox to a HDTV - previously I only ever used it via SCART - found a few games that were garbled on my 1.6 and been looking at patching them up. I notice that Spartan Total Warrior is classed as "black screen and freezes"... well on my xbox, years ago I ripped the game from a scene release using dvd2xbox, and I am running this game happily in 480p. I know this because my tv gives a little text box showing the video mode when it switches. How is this working then?
  10. Title is pretty self-explanatory. I have a 1.6 chipped with an OpenXenium and some games are absolutely unplayable thanks to the 480p scrambling issue. The general consensus seems to be to use XBMC4Gamers to patch the files, but I'm an UnleashX puritan and would like to avoid having to use a whole other separate dash to play only a handful of troublesome games. If anyone knows of a method of accomplishing this without XBMC I'd greatly appreciate it.
  11. Hello, I know PAL games can display 480p if a PAL Xbox is softmodded NTSC. But do those « forced » 480p PAL games are as good as native 480p NTSC games ? I explain my point : on a region free PAL Gamecube, you can force 480p on PAL games with Swiss. But some games aren’t as good as their NTSC equivalent in 480p, because they are optimized for 480i/576i mode, not for 480i/480p mode, and so they can have some issues with their pictures. So, my question is : do PAL Xbox games have this kind of optimization for PAL region, as Gamecube games, or are they strictly identical to NTSC ones ? Thanks for your answers.
  12. Is there anyone who is in possesion of the force 480P files? they where shared by mr. Nova at assemblergames. I am in desperate need for these files for the hdmi mod, most larger tv's do not support 480I over HDMI. thank you for sharing already, i will post a tutorial for adding a WII2HDMI inside an xbox soon, have 4 of them running already ;-).
  13. if u have a v1.6 that is connected with a component cable(green, blue and red cables) then u probably know there are a few games that are scrambled if u try to play them in 480p and u have to set the xbox to 480i to unscramble the the picture. here is a simple workaround that i just discovered. 1.power on your xbox and pull the power cord with the system on.(the step may not be needed but it sometimes it) 2. plug your xbox in, hold a controller in one hand and hit the power button with the other, then click in the left and right sticks along with holding down the L and R buttons and hold all 4 buttons until u get to the xbox desktop(make certain the system doesn't have a game in it so it will boot to the desktop). 3. if u did things correctly u should see the screen flicker and go into 480p mode as the desktop is coming up. hit the INFO button on your tv remote to make certain that the display is in 480p mode(and not 480i). 4. make certain the 480p mode is set to YES in the system settings menu and then throw in a game and see if it works. i used fable(non-lost chapters version) and it worked perfectly.
  14. i've read there is a way to force games that want to only run in 480i to run in 480p. can someone tell me how to do that please?
  15. Hi guys, I just bought a hd link clone on amazon for my xbox (pal tsop 1.4 motherboard, the bios was flashed in order to get hd mods) because my TV doesn't have a component port, only hdmi and rca, the cable hd link works well at 720p and 1080i signals, but doesn't at all at 480i/480p , the screen is flickering as f*** at thoses signals. I figured it came from this cheap cable, so i send it back to amazon, and order a component cable + a component to hdmi converter. Just received it, tried it, and it does the exact same thing, i was thinking that it was either bad luck or i was doing something wrong, so i tried that on a older tv that have component port and hdmi, tested both ports, and it worked with no problem at all !! Do you guys have any idea on why it will work on a tv and not on a other one?
  16. If you check out the wiki list for original Xbox games that support widescreen, you'll see a shit load of games that supposedly support 16:9 widescreen in proper unstretched aspect ratio, though most at only 480p. Well, I have a modded Unleash X OGXbox and have never been able to do it, despite fiddling with every setting I can find - from the OGBox's original dash to the display settings in Unleash X. Nada. Nothing works. The few games like that Incredible Hulk one that were released in 720p have no problems with proper 16:9 widescreen but all these others that supposedly support it just don't work. I even messed with the various aspect ratio & zoom settings on my Vizio 42" E420i-B0 Smart TV and no joy. Just curious: has anyone here managed to do it? I can easily live with those black bars on either side it's just that it would be nice to have 16:9 on all 480p games that supposedly support. it.
